EXCELLENT. WELL WRITTEN AND PERFORMED

Fantastic space opera. I love the protagonists. Lots of action and a little romance thrown in. Alisa, the fighter pilot of the Alliance and Leonidas, the cyborg colonel of the empire had to work together to get to their goals. Along the way they have to escape from their enemies. A very well written series with witty dialogue , intrigues and politics in the mix. A boxed set of 3 books is really worth the credit. I will be continuing book 4 and I hope book 5 will come out soon.

Not too bad

it was a pretty good story but don't expect too too much, humor was a little corny. if there's more books after these 3 books I might listen to those as well.

LOVED to pieces.

Where does A Fallen Empire Omnibus rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of my top listens.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love them all? I love Mica for her realism (or pessimism) and because she is badass. I love Alisa because she's also badass but is optimistic. I love Leonidis because he's badass but also caring.

Which scene was your favorite?

The Pirates.

Any additional comments?

Lindsay Buroker has a way with writing. It has great banter, intense scenes, and makes the characters come alive. This series is amazing, just like the rest of her books. I look forward to listening to all of her books. ALSO! The narrator is fabulous! She is perfect for Alisa and all the other characters.

Another disappointment

Skipped around the various books and decided it wasn't worth going back to listen to everything. The characters were disppointingly unmemorable although the story may have worked if the author had invested me with any interest in the characters. I hate when that happens. Narration was fine.

Meh.

What would have made A Fallen Empire Omnibus better?

I didn't find myself caring about any of the characters. They lacked depth and seemed superficial and predictable. I tried to hang in there but after a few hours I still did not care about the fate of the motley crew.

Would you ever listen to anything by Lindsay Buroker again?

Perhaps.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Boredom

Generic

The main problem with this book was that a number of plot twists were recognisable from other books/films of the same genre - which loses the originality feel. Other than that the characters were fine and it is a lighthearted listen,

very well written and performed

good books, very easy to listen to and follow the plot. if it was not an omnibus, I guess the individual books may have been of somewhat lower content/price ratio against similar titles, but as it is - very good listening for not very much money.
