Scars of August is an emotional story that explores love, friendship, and the questionable existence of fate. Written from three different perspectives, it’s an epic display of how one choice can alter not only their entire life but the trajectory of the lives of those around them.

Real and raw story!

I loved how REAL this story was. It wasn’t your run of the mill romance. It had grief, and betrayal, but it also had joy and redemption.

I loved it, and can’t wait for more from Ashley Pierce!

Immaturity of the characters

Characters lacked depth and the narrators only magnified this. Vocal fry of the female narrator was annoying. Read for a book club.
