Matthew Reilly make the legend continue !

If you could sum up Scarecrow Returns in three words, what would they be?

The tradition continue ! Cannot put the book down (or in this case the headphone down).

What did you like best about this story?

It is non-stop ... exactly like all the other Matthew Reilly books.

Have you listened to any of Scott Sowers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Easy to listen ...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The torture near the end, I was sure the team did lost an other member.

Any additional comments?

If you have never read a Matthew Reilly, look at the sequence he wrote the books, and read them in the same sequence .... he surprise you at each book.

Begin with Contest ...

... you can never keep a good man down!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you enjoy non-stop action, life & death situations and plenty of high-tech gizmos ... not to mention a very capable little robot, this is the next book for you.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scarecrow Returns?

The idea that we can put the past behind us, that even sworn-enemies can put aside differences for the greater good ... if only it worked in real life.

Have you listened to any of Scott Sowers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my 1st of his.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It helped the continuity as they were racing from room to room on island to island if you could listen in a block.

Any additional comments?

It was a great listen for a road trip, I just kept finding myself hitting the gas pedal a little too hard. "... honest officer, I wasn't speeding. The Scarcrow just had to get back in time to save Mother and the world!"

The adventure continues

Scarecrow once again must deal with an evil power-hungry leader, The Lord of Anarchy, who heads the "Army of Thieves", a ragtag mercenary force that has committed crimes around the world in preparation for taking control of Dragon Island in the Arctic. Dragon Island is a remnant from the Cold War, a former Russian base designed for incredible experiments that the Lord of Anarchy has seized to acquire a "Cold War doomsday device with the power to obliterate the planet". Fortunately, Captain Schofield along with friend "Mother" and a few other Marines, plus a few civilians are near enough to respond to the threat of world destruction in a matter of hours. The Scarecrow and his followers employ every technique and strategy imaginable to stop the impending doom. As the body count rises as hundreds pay the ultimate price on both sides of the ticking clock. If that is not enough, throw in a force of French commandoes sent to assassinate him, an enraged polar bear colony, and conspirators within the CIA. You have the makings of a Matthew Reilly Scarecrow action/thriller.
