Good story. Awful narration.

Long time RHCP fan. An interesting story but the narration is the worst I've listened too. Poor quality recording, narrators voice is shaky and tries to give all characters different voices but it doesn't work. Hearing pages being turned as he reads is poor sound editing as well. Great story on the development of a great band.

Great Book

The narrator is awesome he really brought the book to life . As for Anthony’s story it’s raw and honest and I identified with much of it. The drawbacks, if any, is he’s an LA guy so every groupie he ever had sex with is a “magical sea nymph “ or some other California term😃 it’s a great book and it’s worth your time.

I thought the story was Amazing!!! I wish Anthony would have read it though, I didn't care for Rider Strong.. his imitations were annoying

Crazy life ups and downs

The story was a little redundant at times but I guess his life choices were a bit redundant

Great autobiography. I wish there was a way to get the authors to narrate the book. that would be awesome.

Unapologetically himself

Sex, drugs, and rock & roll. This book should be made into a movie with Anthony playing his father. Very cool book. Would highly recommend

This book is like talking to a friend

I liked the story, thanks to the performer and to the author. This taught me how a real success in life is not a beautiful picture. I like the quite honest and sincere tone. I like the fact that this man mentioned women as important part of life. Usually relationship with women and their importance are omitted or downplayed or treated as a a given in men’s tales.

his power to overcome his inner demons

I absolutely loved his pure honesty and dedication to his family , friends and his bandmates. his love for music is awesome. I can't wait till the movie hits the big screen.
