Slow but okay

Slower start than other Ann Granger’s I’ve listened to but became somewhat more interesting once it got going. Unfortunately, the book didn’t convey why we should have liked any of the female characters. Or even the males for that matter. No one is particularly interesting, except maybe for Russell, slightly. This narrator is excellent. But I’m very frustrated because she chronically dropped her voice too low to hear. Where were the producers or editors? It’s impossible to listen to an audio book when there is such inconsistency in volume sentence by sentence.

Didn't like the female main character

I really did NOT like the main female character, and I couldn't figure out why the male MC did. I found her to be arrogant, self serving and pretty dense at times. She was judgemental about others and kind to her own shortcomings. It may have been deliberate on the author's part, but it didn't work for me. The mystery did, and I found that to be worth the book.

Interesting story but characters not to my taste.

I agree with another review that the heroine, Meredith, was most annoying! I really didn't care for her sharp tongue and the fact that she never shared her " findings" with the police that lead to people dying! I was very frustrated by her actions and could not figure out what made the police inspector fall for her as she was mostly rude to him!
I have read Ms. Grangers Ben Ross mystery series and absolutely loved each adventure and character so am sad that this was a big miss for me.

Shame on you Audible!

I absolutely cannot believe you do not carry multiple books in this series! I just finished book one and wanted to move right on to nook two. Alas, Audible doesn't carry that title. Why? And why not book 5? 7? Thumbs down, Audible

I don’t know how I have missed this author altogether through my searches for solid English mysteries...
It was extremely well written and I’m going to buy more of hers immediately

Boring!

There is no mystery, no suspense and female main characters are as dumb as can be. Very disappointing.
