HALF HUMAN, HALF MACHINE...ALL WOMAN

Mishka Le'Ace was created to be an undercover operative...literally. Her beautiful body has been mechanically augmented to give her superhuman strength - strength she's going to need. Her latest mission sends her to rescue Alien Investigation and Removal agent Jaxon Tremain from torture and death. With him, she discovers a passion unlike any other. A passion she was forbidden to know...

From the moment they meet in a darkened cell, Jaxon craves her touch. But the machine half of Le'Ace forces her to do things she doesn't always want to do. Even betray him...and ultimately destroy him. Now Jaxon must battle the man controlling Le'Ace, and even Le'Ace herself, to at last claim the woman he's come to love.

I liked it

Mishka and Jaxon had a good love story. Friends from previous stories made a visit. I was very frustrated and angry with with Mia. Overall, I enjoyed this book.

Good story as all her others yet...

I was a little disappointed in the ending...I still enjoyed the drama and the inner struggle of the main character to fight her directives, and let her emotions win out. But I honestly thought it would be harder for her ,and more dramatic, when she finally broke free of her owner (master-whatever you want to call the Senator).
I still think it was worth the credit, and I'm on to the next in the series.

LOVE THE ACTION. THE ROMANCE IS SO....BEAUTIFUL!

I have been following the Alien Huntress series one by one and I loved all of them. I am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series which is already in my library. Thank you Gena Showalter for writing such wonderful books and Justine Eyre for performing the different characters so well. I enjoyed the books so much that I intend to repeat listening to the whole series once I complete listening to the remaining books. I hope there will be more books on this series to look forward to.

3.5 STARS - GOOD YES......BUT SADLY JUST NOT GREAT

This is book 3 in the Alien Huntress series and, although I really love the series this, IMHO, is a slightly disappointing addition - the story was slow at the start and the "she's so great" "he's so great" was repetitive. Yes, it was enjoyable but just not excellent, I am a huge romance and GS fan but if half of the needing, missing, owning, thinking, craving each other could have been taken out then the H/H could actually have focussed more on the good storyline.

Strong characters - Jaxon (the calm diplomat) and Mishka (the abused indestructible killer who's part machine and mixed DNA), good plot and sub plot - aliens spreading a deadly disease and Mishka's assignment of rescuing Jaxon from being tortured by others, then to hold him captive herself to get classified info from him. As they 'get to know' one another Jaxon realises Mishka's just someone's lethal puppet and starts to understand her and not judge her and she feels emotions, desire and the longing for independence and happiness that's all been constantly and ruthlessly denied her.

GS's world-building skills are so imaginative and there's action, fun, sex, suspense and a heartbreaking love story that seemed doomed from the start and then, when the other complex members of the A.I.R. team get involved their romance is threatened further. But the action really heats up.

Worth a credit? Despite the slow start and padded dialogue I still think this was a touching romance with a good plot - so YES creditworthy but I hope book 4 Seduce The Darkness (Devyn's story) will be more starworthy.

Enjoyable

This was a enjoyable listen but it seemed a little drawn out. At times I wanted things to just "get on past this". I would say this would make an excellent $4.95 sale book. Save your credit for a better reviewed book.
