Publisher's summary

Scotty is sure that she was betrayed by Nick, so she wants nothing more to do with him. Unfortunately, her life is endangered by Mr. Lucas, as she is abducted by him and spirited away to an island far away from New York City.

Nick begins a desperate search for Scotty, knowing that every minute that Scotty is in the hands of Mr. Lucas is another minute that she is horribly suffering. But can he find her before too much damage is done? And can he convince her, once and for all, that he did not betray her?

And, in the end, can he finally convince her to truly trust him? Or is she still just too broken?

Good for the most part

Would you consider the audio edition of Saving Scotty: Broken Book 2 to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version, so, I have no opinion on which is better.

What other book might you compare Saving Scotty: Broken Book 2 to and why?

I can't think of any other book I woul compare it too except the first one in the series. I normally read paranormal romance novels.

Have you listened to any of Jeremy York and Allison Lynnewood ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the fist audio book I've ever listened too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

The story seem to drone on in a couple of spots-when the main character, Scotty. was in her head towards the end-as if the author was trying to fill space, but other than that it was great. I would love to read the next book in the series.

Terrific book, not sure female voice fits

I love love this series. I feel that the narrator, York, captures the tone and "feel" of Nick O'Hara through parts 1 and 2 of the series. Narrator Lynnewood, however, while an extremely gifted narrator just struck a chord to me of being more off than "on" for Scotty James. I think it may be that her nasally unsavory nailing of the voice for horrible Portia overpowers the voice for Scotty. I find so amazing that these two narrator's are so capable of drifting in and out of the various character personas. They truly help to bring each character alive and vividly present to the reader.

Good second book!

This second in a trilogy was pretty good listening. I must say that at times I wanted to give both main characters a slap up the side of the head when they dithered too much. Also, as a RN, the portion of the story where Scotty was forced to be released to Mr. Lucas from the hospital- NEVER would happen in real life! It would be violating patient rights and is a felony on the hospital's part. Looking forward to the next book.

Unrealistic

I love a damsel in distress, but I just can’t wrap my head around this girl (Scotty) not speaking up for herself, and being so weak. I’m sure there are people out there like this, but I don’t know of any. It was a hard listen for me. But you may enjoy it.
Thanks
