The Best Guide for Novel Writers

I just love this book! I purchased copies for everyone in my writing/critique group. I love the way the author makes the arduous path to a successful novel so much easier by virtue of her ability to cut to the heart of the matter and provide guidance at every juncture. This book answered every question I've ever had about story theory and novel plot structure. Thank you, Jessica!

Amazing! (Chapters not divided well though)

Extremely helpful and has helped me breakthrough with a few plot points. The reader is charming and easy to understand. Great pacing for me personally. The only issue is the audio's dividing chapters are pretty confusing (chapter 5 starts with Mid Points right in the middle of a list). I don't own the book, so this might be more clear in the physical book.

Easy fix though, I use bookmarks to help find the actual beats that I need to re-visit.

Great Practical Book

This was a great book! I enjoyed listening to it, took study notes and found it to be super practical. I'm glad I read this just before embarking on the herculean task of writing my first fictional book!

I was curious about this topic

I listened to this because I know nothing about technical terms of story structure and cannot follow in conversation when my friends talks about plots, scenes, etc. She has a master’s in theatre. After listening to this book I want to try to write a novel.

Simply Fantastic!

The best book on writing I've ever read/listened to. The approach and beat sheets are fantastic and the author's narration is a ton of fun. I'll be referring to this one again. And again. And again.

Informative & Inspirational

Save the Cat! Write the Novel provided more specifics than any other writing book I’ve listened to or read. Jessica Brody targets the many pitfalls of novel writing while boosting the confidence of would be writers. I’m going to listen to it again and take notes!
