Publisher's summary

The second book in the Savage Series...

My name is Rick Savage but they call me Savage for a reason. But savage that I am, there is only one woman who can tame the beast in me, one woman who sees the real man. I loved Candace. I lost Candace. Now my enemies have targeted her. For this, they will not survive. I’m back home to save her and win her back, no matter what the cost.

Has the same issues as the first third

As I stated in the review for the first book (Savage Hunger) this book is not the 2nd in a trilogy, but the middle third of a book. And the narration issues are the same as well (the female narrator's male dialog is very dissident with the male narrator).

The only reason I picked up this book, rather than give up on the story after the first one, was because it was part of the Escape package. I would not have been happy if I had paid for it.

♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟♥️🌟✨Exciting first part of a trip!♥️⭐️♥️⭐️♥️⭐️♥️⭐️✨

4.5 stars for this exciting new trilogy from Lisa Renee Jones, excellent back story to this steamy angst ridden drama with all the twists and turns and lots of emotion elevating all the feels...you Won’t be disappointed with this series and the narration is perfection. Savannah and Jason nail this so hard. 🎧♥️🎧♥️🎧♥️🎧♥️🎧

Horrible Female Narrator

I have listened to this entire series and love the books but I couldn’t continue this one, the female narrator is awful! Only Lisa Renee Jones book I’ve ever returned

Should’ve been two books

It really is an amazing story. The problem is purchasing all these books when they could’ve been compressed into two. They are all 5-6 hours and I’m spending too much as the story line continues to dry on and on. It’s a bummer but I’m not purchasing the final two. Sad but true.

Uggh

I wanted to like this series. The female narrator should not do male voices. Otherwise she’s tolerable. The story is a bit off as well. Guess you’ve got to start with the original series to really get it. I’m not wasting more credits on this series. Jason Clarke is the only thing really sexy and tolerable IMO.

Rick Savage & Candace Marks part 2

Suspense and Romance and Another 1/3 of a story. Progress in the narrative is slow. A dumb cliffhanger but at least the main characters are likeable. She is smart, strong and intuitive of his feelings. While he is guilt ridden of what he has done for his country, he also is sweet, determined to make amends for hurting the woman he loves, and considerate. It would be great if we see more of his surgeon skills in future books. No wonder he is a major player for Walker. A future wedding scene for this pair would Also be great because Candace seems to have a personality that would work well with some of the other women in this series and some of those Savage formerly protected, and he is a legend with skills. This is not worth a credit on its own but could have been Combined and edited with book 1 for a really great book. Combined this group of stores would be a pretty good made for tv series but only if edited better. I enjoy the characters, and the storylines but some of the details need work or cutting. Performance is great for Jason Clarke but Savannah Peachwood’s male voices could be better. Also with that many male voices in a scene it would have been better as a duet performance.

Dramatic but repetitive.

The second book in the Savage Trilogy is dramatic and full of twists and turns and a whole cast of Walker characters but the real story is the reunion of Savage and Candace. Unfortunately, the storyline is weak and the themes of Candace’s pain at Savage’s exile and Savage threats to kill someone every 10 effect minutes gets very repetitive. Two books in to the story there’s no way I’ll miss the finale. Jason Clarke’s deep rumbling voice is pretty hot and Savannah Peachwood has always been a favorite of mine.

up the ante

Savage and Candace are in a race against time. Find the evidence to put away a crooked politician, save her father, and stop an assassin. Whoo-wee! This is why I love Lisa Renee Jones.

FREAKING CLIFFHANGERS!!

Ahhh!! I need book three ASAP! I can’t wait to see how the story ends! The only thing I wish is that Savage’s funny personality was shown more in this book as it is when he’s featured in Lisa’s other stories. He’s still really funny and it’s still a good book!
