I love the book now the audiobook

Wow, SL Scott has written a masterpiece, she just rocked my book world. Alexander and Sara Jane is a story like no other, the complexity of their relationship is a roller coaster on itself. You get everything you love in a book, angst, hope, mystery and love. Savage is so damn good is just got to the top list of my reads this year and I doubt it will ever disappear from my heart and mind.

If I’d bought it I would have returned it

My first books by this author were the Everest Brothers, & I loved them, but I think I might have hated this one. First it’s deceiving about a Prince wanting to be King & her for his Queen and with the crown/tiara on the cover is total misrepresentation. There is nothing Royal about this book instead he gets involved with drug dealers thou for a misguided reason. The book CONSTANTLY switches from present to past or dreams where it was so confusing on what was happening. Hopefully the book used italics or something to show the correct continuation. And to end with her taking her last breath...come on, really! She must make it cause there’s a book 2, but who wants a romance to end with such an awful cliffhanger. I’m don’t think I’d ever listen to another book & positively wouldn’t buy one. Samantha Cook was a great narrator but Alexander Cendese can’t do a decent female.

Horrible! DNF!!!

It’s rare that I stop reading or listening to a book but I could. not. finish. this. book! I really wanted to like it, and I really really struggle to get halfway through because the prologue sounded nice & suspenseful. But after 3 hour of nothing but “I love you so much, you’re my everything (next breath) I’m bad for you, you should leave me (next breath) don’t ever leave me I love you so much”, I couldn’t handle it anymore. At the start of hour 4 I though we might actually be getting to the plot but no, more of the same, with a bit of distrust thrown in. Ugh, horrible book! So glad I didn’t actually buy the book.

Oh wow!

How much suffering and sadness can some one takes? This book is so full mysteries and secrets and backstabbing situations...but at the same time the love story in between all that bad is so good!! I need to know more...

Not my cup of tea at all

I have read other books by this author and absolutely loved them but this one.. I hate books about drugs, the blurb to read made it sound like a different kinda book. This just wasn’t for me. I couldn’t even finish it. I for sure won’t be reading the second book. Also didn’t love the narrators for this. They didn’t do a bad reading I just could put their voice with the characters. So maybe that was more of a me issue.🤷🏻‍♀️

Ummm... Ambivalent

I love S L Scott's work, and this is, for the most part, wonderfully written. The caveat is in there because it did have a few too many flashbacks for me. But hey, it started out with a serious bang, so it got my attention at the beginning. There were several elements I enjoyed, so they helped offset the points that really didn't endear me to the story. Alexander is an intriguing and complex person who has totally embraced the darkness in his soul. But he finds his light in his Firefly, Sara Jane. She's as innocent as he is toughened by the harsh realities of a dark world: she's the yen to his yang. He's definitely a dark prince, and not at all easy to love. But Sara Jane is tougher than she realizes, and recognizes his worth. Their story is rife with corruption, disloyalty, jealousy, hatred, lies, and greed. Sara Jane and Alexander only want a simple life with each other, but that's just not going to happen. As intriguing and crazy as their story was, I found myself coming near the end of the first of this two part series wondering if I really wanted to invest my time in the second half of the story. Did I mention I was ambivalent? It just felt like I couldn't totally invest in these guys for some reason. But then the author threw the mother of all cliff hangers at the end. Dang it. Not a fan. But I'll admit this one worked. I'm on to the next book.

Excellent

Quite a story of love and tragedy. How an evil and heartless parent with so much money that he is able to wreck havoc on his son and his girlfriend. The struggle they had because of it which made their love stronger, yet tragedy hit anyway.

All Consuming Love

I really like this duet! The cliffhanger! Ahhhh!! I love Alex and Sarah Jayne, the love they have for each other is real, true and loyal. The kind of love we all wish to find. I did not like how Alex chose to hide so many things from her, if you love someone that much how can you continue to hurt them with lies and betrayal. That is the lessons they learn from. But no matter what they go through, they know the love they have for each other will no waver. I love how strong the heroine is and she doesn't let anyone change her mind or manipulate her into thinking King did not feel the same even though he gave her so many reasons to mistrust him. Loved the narration! Alexander is amazing!
