So, getting even had to reach a new level of sophistication and severity. Recalling a particularly dreadful event, Silas seized upon the perfect scheme; one that would put an end to his misery once and for all. He simply had to commit murder.

The characters are rich in personality. The narrator is magnificent! The ending is surprising. Loved this book!
