Like all Masonic Lodges, Acacia No. 43 has always been cautious not to admit men of questionable character into their ranks. Until now. Preston McAvoy's petition for membership appears normal enough, but at his First Degree, Patrick Brady and his father, Sean, begin to have doubts. Before long, Acacia is a Lodge divided as McAvoy's mere presence threatens to not only disrupt the harmony of the Lodge, but the business, health and personal lives of the whole Brady family as well. It's a year of major changes for Patrick, his friends and his family, not all of them good. How events will shake out, and what the future holds, are anyone's guess. But one thing is certain.
