The Land of the Midnight Sun, stories of five brothers, working on missing cases of search and rescue, wanting love, in this untamed wilderness. Interesting and good beginning to the series. Given audio which I enjoyed for my voluntary review

Great

New author for me and this book was beyond my expectations. Alot of twists and turns kept me on edge of my seat. Truly a great read.

Search and rescue in Denali

Sam Belgarde runs a family owned search and rescue business in Alaska. He also runs safety classes to those planning to hike Denali. That's where he meets Nora Molina and he is attracted to her instantly. He later runs into her at the local bar where he and his family are celebrating Dare's birthday. They spend some time together, but when they get called for a rescue he has to leave. When a man shows up a few days later, telling him he wants him to find his missing fiancee, he's surprised, but he accepts the job since he was planning to look for her anyway. He is only able to bring one of his search and rescue dogs because the other is sick. When the dog tracks Nora off the path to Denali, Sam realizes something is off.
This was an exciting story with unexpected twists and turns, that I really enjoyed.

A Wonderful Start to the Series

Sam's Folly is an excellent introduction to the Midnight Sons series. Carmen DeSousa creates a compelling story that combines a memorable Alaskan setting with characters that feel authentic and relatable.

Sam and Nora's story was exceptionally well done. Their development throughout the book felt genuine, and I appreciated how carefully their relationship was built. By the end, their story left me completely satisfied.

I loved that the author didn't neglect the secondary characters. Many series introductions focus solely on the main couple, but here the supporting cast is given enough depth and personality to make me excited for future installments. I am already looking forward to spending more time with several of them.

Stephanie Nemeth-Parker's narration complemented the story nicely and helped make the listening experience even more engaging. This was a fantastic start to a series, and I'm eager to continue with the next book.
