This book is beyond imagination, BUT-

I want to start by saying I haven't finished this book and I might not. I desperately want to know the ending but one thing that needs to be noted for anyone considering listening... if you were a victim of sexual abuse as a child, this book will be an incredibly hard listen, because while it is a work of fiction, the abuse she suffers is real for many and you might find your own history mirrored to you. The writing is compelling and once you start, stopping will be difficult but you need to determine if it is worth putting yourself through that.

Sadie was so spellbinding that I couldn't put it down! This is the kind of story that stays in you head for a long time.

No ending. :( but an awesome book apart from that.

There was no ending so that sucked. You're keeping mda waiting for the big reveal and there isn't one. But a good book apart from that. Narrated really well. Loved the background and audio score

surprisingly not graphic.

it was an enjoyable book that showed excellent restraint with a sensitive subject. The writer show sensitivity, that girls abuse is does not need to be grotesque for you to know what's happening.
The readers were just okay. the main male character was well done, and Sadie herself was fine. but they way people were described and how they sounded were not the same.

Sadie isn't a story so much as it is an experience

This is, hands down, the best produced audio book on this platform. The myriad of voice actors, the podcast jingle I adore, and the acting is sublime.

The story itself is bitter. It's not comforting, though it has moments of reprieve, if sparse. Sadie tells a theme so real to this world, and important to recognize, that I cannot recommend it enough. This book has no age limit, or demographic. We should all understand the implications of Sadie's story and the real world implications happening every single day to girls just like her, her mother, and all the others.

This story is important.

Life Changing

This was the first audiobook i have ever listened to and it blew me away. The full cast was amazing and the way the podcast within the story was recorded felt like i was actually listening to one.
I became so engrossed in the story and following Sadie’s story. The ending left me torn apart but it’s ok... I’m ok...
There was so much depth and you became connected with all of the characters - which the full cast helped immensely.
If you are contemplating listening to this... DO

This book made fiction feel real

highly recommend. The audio book production on its own is worth it. The Narrators did a phenomenal job!

Perfectly written, perfectly narrated

This was an incredibly heavy story, but somehow made you feel so proud of the lead characters. I can’t say I love the ending but I understand it.

Character development was fantastic throughout, for as many people as she wrote into the story she made them feel real. Some authors can barely do that with a few characters let alone handfuls.

I wanted there to be a complete ending

I loved the performance from all the actors and the story overall. However at the end I was thinking, that’s it? I guess I thought since it was half in a podcast format they would have follow up to Sadie. I know they tied up most of the loose ends but not really when it came to Sadie’s story. Still would recommend!
