Publisher's summary

Bobby Roland can't catch a break.

Less than a week after Bobby takes on the mantle of Servitude, a position granting him the ability to exorcise demons from the possessed, he finds an envelope taped to his door containing an intimidating note and a picture of a strange woman. When a shadowy figure is abducted off the sidewalk down the street from his house, Bobby can't help but wonder if it's her.

Bobby may not be ready to drive out demons, but that doesn't put a damper on his desire to help those in need. With the aid of his friends and a new supernatural ally, Bobby sets out to find the woman and free her from her captors.

Little does Bobby know he may have bitten off more than he can chew....

Another enjoyable read

Book 2 in the Servitude series is just as good as the first, more so even because all our favorite characters are back, and it feels as if we've walked their journey with them. It's only a week after book 1 ends, and Bobby is struggling with his new role. On top of that, his first mission is to rescue his estranged mother. That's not an easy task for him emotionally. The story moves along well, giving us those occasions where we hold our breath, and ends with an opening for book 3. Paul J. McSorley give another outstanding performance with well-produced audio. Well-done.

Spectacular

A great follow up to the first book. With how this book ended I'm excited for the third book to come out. The narrator did Ana amazing job. He embodied each character well, and I hope he does the third book as well.

So intense!

This was intense! I found this book more emotional than Servant, as Bobby first faced the return of the mother who abandoned him, then the horrors of an institution thriving on child abuse. But the writing style still had the same honesty and humor that I appreciated in the first book. I enjoyed getting to know the community of former servants better, and Thane made for a fascinating adversary. And I like the direction things seem to be heading for Bobby and Carly... :)
