Publisher's Summary

Colin McCullough has always known the path his life would take, and at summer’s end, he will finally make his Holy Orders. But what should have been a relaxing summer in the mountains with his large Irish family turns into an interlude plagued with temptation the moment his brother brings home the enchanting Samantha Dougherty.

When Samantha agrees to spend her summer break with Braydon McCullough, she soon realizes his intentions are not what they seemed. While coping with Braydon’s assumptions that they are in a relationship, Samantha’s vacation only becomes more complicated when she meets his older brother Colin, the soon-to-be priest. What was intended to be a peaceful holiday turns into an unforgettable experience of loyalty, lust, sacrifice, courage, and love.

What a voice!

This was a wonderful story of a man who is promised to his faith, and a woman who doesn’t think she is deserving of love. There life and love unfold in the beautiful backdrop of the McCullough family homestead - the surprises for the two will keep you listening!
A wonderful book for sure!

That Irish accent, so swoon worthy in itself!

One of my all time favorites!
I can’t write a review that will do this book justice. Wow, just wow! Conor Mahood was perfect for this narration and Lydia Michaels wrote a beautiful, forbidden love story that will stay with me for a long time. Colin has devoted most of his life to serving God and his developing relationship with Samantha has him questioning it all. Samantha has a past that haunts her and Colin is the one that can help her break free from those fears. Sacred Waters will give you all the feels- the love, the anger, and the undeniable passion between Colin and Samantha. The whole McCullough family is so lovable that I can’t wait to devour the series.

Irish accent loving romance

First off, let's start with the McCullough Mountain Series is one of my all time favorite series. So, when given the opportunity to review an audio version, there was only one answer . . . heck, yeah!

Sometimes it's scary to listen to a series after you've read it, because either it's going to be great or its going to ruin the series. And after listening to this book . . . it thankfully was amazing. How could it not be when 1) the narrator has an Irish accent and 2) it was the McCullough Family, you can't but not love them.

Conor Mahood was able to deliver the emotions of the McCullough's and especially Colin & Samantha.

Samantha Dougherty comes to the McCullough family home for a mini holiday during school break. She comes because she's kind of dating Braydon, but she knows it's not going anywhere and they are better as friends. However, not all McCullough's know the reality of Sam's feeling. Especially Bradyon and his soon to be a priest brother, Colin.

The moment Colin and Samantha see each the world shifts for them. However, they are on different journeys, which didn't include each other.

Colin is committed to God and that has never wavered until he met Samantha. Samantha is so conflicted with her feelings towards Colin, especially because he's a soon to be priest. But their feelings can't be ignored.

And while they are carving out their new paths we get to fall in love with all the McCulloughs.

I loved jumping back into the world of the McCullough's and I can't wait to listen to the whole series. Listening to audio books if one of my favorite things and this is going to be another great series to listen to. Hopefully, Conor Mahood will continue narrating this series.

Fall In Love With The McCulloughs

I had already read the e-book version of this story and fell in love with the McCulloughs then, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to listen to the story on audio. Conor Mahood did a fantastic job of narrating the story and capturing the essence of the McCulloughs. The story centers around Samantha (Sam) Dougherty and how she came to be with the McCulloughs; about a love so pure, and real, and unexpected between Sam and Colin McCullough, but with an expiration date because of his chosen path in life. This is a great beginning to a series about seven McCullough siblings and their parents and the people who love them. You will laugh, and cry, and cheer for Sam and Colin. If you decide to listen to just one audiobook this year, Sacred Waters should be it.

Sinfully scandalous

My first audiobook and I really enjoyed the experience. Solved my problem of not wanting to put the book down! I love this story. Thinking your life is on one path and being meant for another. I love all the characters and this family bond. Hope the rest of the series get made into audiobooks!

An emotional slow burn

The key to a good audiobook is a good story and a great narrator. This has both!

This was a bit of a slow burn - seeing as how Samantha came home with Braydon. But she meets and develops a crush on Braydon's oldest brother Colin, who will be taking his final vows to become a priest in a few months. And Colin, for the first time in his life, starts to have feelings for Sam (he calls her Sammy), questioning how he can serve his church and be with her.

An emotional and thought provoking story. And now that I have been introduced to all of the many McCullough family members - I am interested in hearing all of their stories.

I loved this book and enjoyed the dynamics of the story telling. This book really made you feel as though you were a part of the McCullough family. I can’t wait to read on to see more of the story.

I am so glad I got this to listen to.

Conor Mahoods voice is delicious. His slight accent really enhances the story and I find myself searching for more of his work. The story is good. I liked that the family was a pretty close group. That voice though... I was listening at work and I was grinning. I am delighted with this romantic tale.
