Why would black men abandon the community that bore them? Why do SYSBM adherents believe that black women are inherently flawed? Why do these black men hate themselves? On those outlets, people have pontificated, critiqued, commented and even written about SYSBM. Few have been impartial. Perhaps they were unaware of the “whos”, “hows”, “whats” and “whens”. Nevertheless, the most often mistaken concept about SYSBM is the “why”.
