Publisher's summary

"Legend has it that when the black wolf is spotted, death is sure to follow."

Years ago, in the hills of North Georgia, the Indians told a story of a lone black wolf that emerged from the smoke of revenge. The story became a legend, and now when the wolf is seen, it is said that someone will die.

After learning her mother once lived in Dahlonega, Misty travels to Black Wolf Lodge in search of answers. While there, a deadly storm sweeps through the mountains, ravaging the area and trapping everyone at the lodge. When one of the guests is killed, the legend of the black wolf is blamed, but Misty feels there could be a murderer lurking in their midst. As she delves into the secrets of the lodge, buried truths come to light and mysteries of the past are finally revealed.

This is my 3rd one, so not too bad

I still don't like the AI narrator, but am more used to it after 3 stories. Even though parts are quite predictable and not realistic, the story still keeps me going. And since they are free, I keep listening 😉

Enjoyable

Even though this was virtual voice, it wasn’t bad. Change the voice speed to 1.25 and the narration was good. The storyline was entertaining as well.

Storms of the Past Bk 3

I love this series - I wouldn't call this a cozy - it's a murder mystery that is so well written - It would capture everyone from 13 to 100 years of age that enjoys murder mysteries and falls for it's characters. There is no smut, and no swearing and I don't usually seek out either, nor do I care when the story adds either - but WOW, the character development and intrigue had me listening to the entire series in 2 days -that's how much I enjoyed it!
Virtual voice - was the only down side to this amazing story. My problem with virtual voice is, some words are pronounced properly and sarcasm is totally lost in conversation - lastly expressions like "tomato / to-mat-toe" are lost on virtual voice.
We all know Misty Raven is hiding something in book one but as I followed Misty along, I wanted to be her friend and confidant. She's strong, independent, yet not overtly -
This is my favorite murder mystery series I've listen to this year - hope to see more from Jenny Elaine -

AI not bad

Not very bright, inane assumptions and coincidences. Just many times do you walk up to important conversations? This will be the last one in the series for me. AI voice surprisingly good.
