Great information, awful narrator

Publisher's summary
Do you have what it takes to rank your site at the top of Google's search results? Have you been frustrated by the level of difficulty posed in competing with other well-established websites for those coveted first-page listings?
Well, did you know that there are over 200 ranking factors involved Google's current search algorithm? Yes, over 200. It's certainly no walk in the park. Depending on your information when it comes to SEO, it might be outdated or just flat-out wrong.
Why is that?
Search has been evolving at an uncanny rate in recent years. If you're not in the know, then you could end up spinning your wheels and wasting valuable and precious time on techniques that no longer work.
Google's sole mission is to provide the most relevant search results at the top of its searches in the quickest manner possible. However, in recent years, due to some mischievous behavior at the hand of a small group of people, relevancy began to wane.
Since 2011,Google has tried hunt out and demote spammy sites that sacrifice user experience, focus on thin content, or simply spend their time trying to deceive their way to the top of its search results.
At the same time, Google has increased its reliance on four major components of trust that work at the heart of its search algorithm:
- Trust in age
- Trust in authority
- Trust in content
- Relevance

Alreaft Outdated Ideas
this bookwas writtwn for noobs. unfortunately SEO is not what it looks like and most that tell you there is a recipe are not right. So.e ideas like creating web 2.0 blogs (subdomains on high DA sites) are not only useless but counterproductive. I dont have time to explain but i own a multimillion ecommerce dollar business and buy any audiobook that could be useful, this is not one. we did some of this stuff a year ago and got penalized for it because in essence what we did was not for the user but it was for goggles algorithm...and that is not the key. the key is to create content exactly for you human being users. The truth is not always ehat it seems. dont believe everything in this book. vet each odea in the context i mentions "human being users". u fakn welcome i saved u a LOT of time and money!

a guide for the SEO noob
Where does SEO 2016: Learn Search Engine Optimization rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I would rank it a 9/10 among other audiobooks I have listened to so far. I found the information useful, explained well to the point of actually understanding what SEO is and how to do it.
Which scene was your favorite?
I liked the tips and suggestions for driving SEO to your needs. Figuring out what makes my items special and unique will help my SEO.
What did you learn from SEO 2016: Learn Search Engine Optimization that you would use in your daily life?
So much! I am starting a new business online and need to figure out how to use SEO to drive customers to my site. I needed to figure out how to get higher up on the google search rankings so people will see my store in the top few results that pop up instead of 50 pages later. I have written down important information and I am about to try what I learnt in the book and put it to use.

Easy to listen to, lots to learn about
If you could sum up SEO 2016: Learn Search Engine Optimization in three words, what would they be?
clear, current, engaging
What about Smokey Rivers’s performance did you like?
The narrator had a great voice that was easy on the ears and appealing to listen to. The wonderful pacing made it simple to keep up with the instruction as well.
Any additional comments?
In order to keep up with the times you have to always be learning new things. One thing I try to keep current on is the latest SEO techniques. Sadly what used to work no longer does, and of course the tricks and strategies are changing all the time. "SEO 2016" is a treasure trove of current information! The information on understanding how to achieve a better rank with Google based on the current algorithm factors is fantastic and I've been busy making much needed changes according to the advice provided.

A book read by someone is not an audiobook.
First, the book mention figures. How can I see the pictures if I am listening only ?!? Second, probably half of the length is due to phrases reformulated. The author mention a concept and describe it again changing the text a little, all the time !
The book does have some good info but does not worth the price.

Story
Superintelligence asks the questions: What happens when machines surpass humans in general intelligence? Will artificial agents save or destroy us? Nick Bostrom lays the foundation for understanding the future of humanity and intelligent life. The human brain has some capabilities that the brains of other animals lack. It is to these distinctive capabilities that our species owes its dominant position. If machine brains surpassed human brains in general intelligence, then this new superintelligence could become extremely powerful - possibly beyond our control.

Story
The grid is an accident of history and of culture, in no way intrinsic to how we produce, deliver and consume electrical power. Yet this is the system the United States ended up with, a jerry-built structure now so rickety and near collapse that a strong wind or a hot day can bring it to a grinding halt. The grid is now under threat from a new source: renewable and variable energy, which puts stress on its logics as much as its components.

Story
It’s only a slight exaggeration to say that the British mathematician Alan Turing (1912-1954) saved the Allies from the Nazis, invented the computer and artificial intelligence, and anticipated gay liberation by decades--all before his suicide at age forty-one. This classic biography of the founder of computer science, reissued on the centenary of his birth with a substantial new preface by the author, is the definitive account of an extraordinary mind and life.

Story
On May 31, 2014, in the Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha, Wisconsin, two 12-year-old girls attempted to stab their classmate to death. Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier’s violence was extreme, but what seemed even more frightening was that they committed their crime under the influence of a figure born by the internet: the so-called “Slenderman”. Yet the even more urgent aspect of the story, that the children involved suffered from undiagnosed mental illnesses, often went overlooked in coverage of the case.

Story
In Glow Kids, Dr. Nicholas Kardaras will examine how technology - more specifically, age-inappropriate screen tech, with all of its glowing ubiquity - has profoundly affected the brains of an entire generation. Brain imaging research is showing that stimulating glowing screens are as dopaminergic (dopamine activating) to the brain’s pleasure center as sex. And a growing mountain of clinical research correlates screen tech with disorders like ADHD, addiction, anxiety, depression, increased aggression, and even psychosis.

Story
Artificial intelligence does the seemingly impossible - driving cars, trading stocks, and teaching children. But facing the sea change that AI will bring can be paralyzing. How should companies set strategies, governments design policies, and people plan their lives for a world so different from what we know? In Prediction Machines, three eminent economists recast the rise of AI as a drop in the cost of prediction. With this single, masterful stroke, they lift the curtain on the AI-is-magic hype and show how basic tools from economics provide clarity about the AI revolution and a basis for action by CEOs, managers, policy makers, investors, and entrepreneurs.
