If it was any longer..
I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.. by halfway I was annoyed with fmc. She was always crying, always trembling, it got on my nerves. I started skimming her inner dialogue, it was a bit much. The insta lust/ insta love was a over the top, the spice was spicing and I definitely will relisten in the future... Loved Kage, wish there was more of him. Loved the narrators, made the story better.

Perfect!
I could not put it down! The plot was really interesting and well written, it had a lot of spice, the narration was perfect. I felt invested in the characters throughout the book. I am off to read the next book on the series- I love how the epilogue lead right into the second book with Sloan.

Suspense equal to the romance
The heroine had a personality. The hero was your standard tortured alpha. So he was fun but he wasn’t what made the book better than dozens of other romances. What I liked about her was that she was a thinking adult who questioned the hero. But this story wasn’t romance with a little mafia in the background; it was as much suspense as romance. I’ve already purchased the next book in the series because I want to follow the next adventure.

Absolutely nailed…. It
Ok as a reader who doesn’t read romance / smut often - this is the perfect intro to the Mafia trope. As suggested by one of my friends who knew I wouldn’t be able to resist. The narrators are fantastic, the 🌶️🌶️🌶️is perfect & this thriller/fantasy lover was never bored. Bravo JT
