Quick but impactful!

This book was a great mix of inspiring stories, lessons on grit and resilience, current events and a sprinkle of sports. You don’t have to be super religious to understand the references to scripture. The author is funny and honest- he’s not the hero of every story so it doesn’t feel like a self help book. But it is encouraging, motivating and may light a fire in your belly.

Life Changing and Inspirational

This book is motivating and life changing. The author uses his live experiences to motivate people to live a more meaningful life with Christ’s strength. He helps you think about pushing past your normal life to live a more challenging but more content and productive life as a Christian. I would recommend this book to anyone in any stage of their life.

I absolutely loved this book! It is filled with so much wisdom, encouragement and motivation to not just coast through life, but to live it to the fullest every single day! I have had the privilege of going to Uganda and meeting Hannington and so many other incredible, world-changing people, including author of this book! I can honestly say it enormously changed the way that I look at the world and live my life! Patrick Youngs is a born storyteller and accurately conveys the beauty, heartache, joy and sorrow that is a part of peoples’ daily lives in Uganda. He shows how taking advantage of every opportunity, no matter how insignificant it may seem, can lead to significant growth of character and make a huge impact on the lives of so many others!
This book is filled with stories of ordinary people who took the initiative to step out of their comfort zones and fill needs they saw around them, leading to a ripple effect of blessings on so many other people. I finished this with renewed determination to run this race that God set before me to the best of my ability and trust that He will use that effort to impact the world around me!

Wonderfully Crafted!

As I listened to Patrick narrate this beautiful work, I was moved to tears several times. It is clear that these words were inspired by the Holy Spirit to move us all to run the race that each of us has been given. It’s true, we must all work together to help further the message of the Cross, but it goes far deeper as we experience our individual races that God has given us. I so enjoyed this work, and I have been challenged by the words of my friend, Patrick Youngs.
