Publisher's Summary

Rumi has been described as "the most popular poet" in the United States.

Rumi's popularity has gone beyond national and ethnic borders. He is considered to be one of the greatest classical poets, by the speakers of Persian language in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan. His poetry is still read worldwide today and has been translated into a wide variety of languages including Turkish, Persian, Russian, Asian, English, and Spanish languages. Likely due to the pure universal natural themes in his poetry, Rumi's works are simplistic and beautiful at the same time.

A collection of 101 quotes of wisdom from Rumi on life, love, and happiness.

"Anyone who genuinely and consistently with both hands looks for something, will find it. "

"Now is the time to unite the soul and the world. Now is the time to see the sunlight dancing as one with the shadows."

"Gamble everything for love, if you're a true human being. If not, leave this gathering."

"Let the lover be disgraceful, crazy, absentminded. Someone sober will worry about things going badly. Let the lover be."

"Why should I be unhappy? Every parcel of my being is in full bloom."

Beware the loud Bing!

The poetry is great but there is a loud, high pitched Bing Between each spoken line that is so annoying and immediately cancels out the beauty of the words. This could have been done a thousand times better! The sound of turning a page would have worked so much better, or even no sound just silence and stop.

Worth the price.

I found the bell a bit loud. Excellent content well delivered. I may rip it into individual pieces and make a random play list to start my day

Beautiful short sayings with large meanings

Some reviewers mention the didn’t like the chime between each poem. I found the chimes appropriate and if you listen closely each chimes gradually fades creating a beautiful relaxing sound. I enjoyed the audio.

Peaceful

Amazing narration for these simple words. I use this book as a backdrop to my morning yoga. It is about 30min long and perfect. Like rays of sunshine, this man’s voice and another’s words peak into my mind and linger.

This is what you are looking for

Clay's narration is lovely and perfect for the reading of one of the greatest philosophers and poets ever known.
Only about 30 min. long - at the end of it you will feel wiser, calmer and have some questions answered.

A sweet sweet book!

There's a few of these on audible, however, this version has by far the best narration! It was PERFECT. The quotes were gems of wisdom!

RUMI...Such timeless wisdom that is still relevant

I love all of Rumis' works. Some more than others appeal in different ways and levels of fondness. I like Clays narration, however cannot offer any words about the author as it was simply reprinting the written wisdom penned by Rumi in the 14th century. I am a devoted follower.
