Well, number three came crashing down the moment Principal Connell asks me to guide Cade back onto the right path. Something about helping him turn his life around. If only Principal Connell knew our history, he’d understand just what he’s asking.

But, I have an incessant need to please all adults, so of course I say yes. When Cade seems pleased as well, I can’t help but wonder if this is part of some scheme. A plan he’s worked up to finish me once and for all. Apparently, what he did in junior high wasn’t enough.

Just when I think I have everything figured out, my life spirals out of control. Suddenly, adults suck - especially parents - and pleasing them becomes the last thing I want to do. What confuses me even more is in the moment I choose to run away, the first person I go to is the one guy to whom I swore I would never get close.

Hopefully, the Cade I’ve uncovered won’t hurt me, because I’m so close to breaking.

Too Sweet!

May Cade & Penelope put your heart into flutter happiness. This story is just too sweet and cute to pass. I read this in one sitting & It’s a good light & adorable love they got there! AUDIO NARRATOR wasn’t too bad at all.

Fun enemies to lovers with an important message

This was a fun young adult enemies to lovers romance. Penny sees Cade as her sworn enemy due to some teasing in the past. The principle asks her to help tutor him. She can't say no because she wants to be seen as great in adults eyes. She dreads it. Cade doesn't seem to be dreading it, which confuses her. Turns out the Cade she thought she knew isn't who he really is. She is surprised to find out that Cade is actually who she needs to lean on and the feelings she has for him are a shock to her. I love their back and forth. Cade loved pushing her buttons. The narrator did a great job. I had so much fun with this book.

The amount of romance was amazing and it keeps u on edge because it has many plot twists

I loved how the people are complete “opposites” in the beginning and hate each other but come to find out they are in similar situations and are absolutely adorable together!
