Good Performance Story isnt for me, but other will

I'll start with the performance. It was pretty good. Jacob did a really good job. He has a wide variety of voices he uses for different male characters. He is easy to listen to.
Portia did okay. She needs some more practice speaking more fluidly. Sometimes when she reads it comes off as stilted. She doesn't vary her characters voices much. All that being said I have defiantly heard a lot worse. And I think with a few more books under her belt she will get better.
The premise for the story is great. The world building is great, I enjoyed the characters and the worlds. There is a ton of potential here. On the negative side there are a lot of minor errors in it. A couple of beta listeners would have caught them. Like the MC call his female servant a "he". It happens often...
This next part is personal preference. I didn't care for was the settings of the adult situations. I do however enjoy adult situations in books. But in this particular book it's just not for me. Nothing wrong with it, some will love it. Just not my cup of tea. It was done well though, I think? Think 50 Shades...

Very poor execution

I'll start off by saying I didnt finish this book. The premise of the book is actually pretty interesting. However the characters are...odd. Flat and two dimensional I don't think applies here. The MC is a hypocrite, raging at causal animal abuse while he himself casually strikes a woman. Not for me.

The other thing is the audio is pretty horrible. Jacob West sounds like he's phoning in his performance. Lots of slurred and mispronounced words. On the other hand, Portia Winters uses the same voice for every single woman and her voice sounds like she's recording with the book in front of her mic.

What a shame.

A Great Adventure

A Very interesting story, excellent world building with great mechanics. The MC l liked from the beginning of the story but as the story progressed a bit more of his characters came out and developed He became a little less likable. I understand the this is a tough world and only the strong survive but he seems like a bit of a jerk at times. This might be more realistic and it didn’t turn me off but it was different. I still want the next book because I’ve become invested in this world and want it to grow.
The narration was excellent and was very enjoyable!

Dan Raxor is one to look out for

New author delivers an amazing story that I couldn’t get enough of. It was lengthy and well worth the credit. Terrific narration team!

Unapologetically good

The hero most people love to hate, a culture that is not politically correct, and a word that most people today don’t have a chance of living in. He’s just the kind of mc needed to pull off the plans necessary to get the job done.

The story line was excellent, the male narrator was able to get the job done, but the female narrator really struggled with a monotone of narration. When the female characters interact it’s hard to tell which one is talking because they all have the same voice, accents and inflection. Which really saddens me because I have several female narrators that I will buy a book just because of their names.

I’m definitely looking forward to book two in this series and I hope it is as good as this one.

MC Problem

first off jacob west, and portia kay winters are not bad I've liked way worse. that said sound quality isn't the best
i gave this a poor score based off the MC alone this is not S&M play. this is "I'm rich so i can treat like 2nd class and im still a good person." BS
i really didn't mind if something bad happened to the MC
i think this author is black listed for me

boring male, monotone female voices

the voice acting is horrendous, while the male does exhibit some emotion in the voice of the MC the female sounds like she's on a much poorer quality Mike and sounds monotone like she's reading a recipe. plot is ok I guess but the story skips alot of time for convenience like its a rush to the finish. I didn't finish the book, also never heard these voice actors before and I can see why I can't stand to finish after only a fee hours into the book.

Dull and slow

Dull and slow I have been waiting for the story to get going but even the battle is slow.
