Wow, This Was So Hot!

This book started off a little slow as the story built but as Lily and Kellar built their relationship as trainer and trainee and their feelings and attraction grew so did the heat of the story.

Once he gave in to her demands to make love to her it exploded and just got hotter. He is a bit of a dom in the bedroom and that was a fun twist to this already unique story.

The narrators for this story did a fantastic job.

Emma Wilder made me giggle a lot as there were times I could just picture her in her bough making faces to make the voice sound just so. She is such a talented narrator and is always easy on the ears to me.

John Hartley is a bit newer to me and I didn’t like him at first. He was stiff and just didn’t click. As the book went on and he got more comfortable with the role his voice seemed to just click with me and I can’t imagine anyone else in the role. His voice is deep and gruff which absolutely fit the character of Kellar to a T!

When he played Lily’s friend Timmy and he went all nastily American it made me smile since they are such drastic changes! He did a fantastic job and will definitely look for more books voiced by him!

One Royally HOT romance!

The Princess Diaries meets My Fair Lady meets 50 Shades of Grey?!!?! That's a lot for one book to live up to. But LIVE UP to all that it did! I loved Royally Not Ready! Lilly had all kinds of spunk and inappropriate comments at inopportune times. She was of royal blood...what?!?! Keller was this straight-laced formal Brit who was probably doubting Lilly had any sort of royal blood flowing through her veins. The banter and wit that came out of these two! He has to teach her about the finer things, how to eat, drink, dress, and speak. Then when they can't resist the attraction any longer, it's way hotter than 50 shades!

John Hartley and Emma Wilder really brought these characters to life. I was mesmerized by their voices and the way they told the story of love and happily ever after.

I received an advance copy of the audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Get this for the PERFORMANCE!

This is an amazing duet performance. The script is hilarious and female narrator fits the lead girl perfectly. The male narrator? HOT. The only cut down from a pure 5 star review is that I feel like the story could’ve been…more. However, it’s an easy, light listen and worth the credit!

❤️🔥🤩 I literally loved every minute of this book!!!!

I’m madly and deeply in love with everything about this story. It had everything that I needed and quite frankly this may be in my top 10 favorites of all time! Yes ALL TIME!

The narration was sublime and was probably the major factor in how amazing the story was. Emma Wilder and John Hartley were dynamic and the dual narration made it that much better. I’ve heard dual narration before and something about it wasn’t great, but this combo was superb. They brought life and character to the characters, no pun intended.

The story was beautiful, with lots of heart, humor and sizzles in all the right places. There were multiple moments where I laughed out loud until my stomach hurt and tears were streaming from the hilarity of the antics that these two got up to. If you’re a fan of sarcasm and wit, this is the book for you.

I’ve loved some of Meaghan Quinn’s books in the past but this one eclipses everything prior. If I could give this 10 stars I would. I can’t wait to listen to the next one in the series!

Royally Not Ready

I know a lot of people will says it’s like a modern day retelling of Princess Diaries and yes it is but not really.
Lilly Campbell is about to get the biggest wake up, I 100% loved her attitude and how she is herself. Swear words and all, Keller had no idea what he was about to get into. I think I loved that the most, she surprises him at every turn in all the best ways.

The banter and the chemistry are the best part of the book in my opinion. I like that she tried to shock him but he isn’t really shockable which makes them the perfect pair. It’s very spicy and I loved that I want more spice like that yes please.

I have been trying to think of the word that describes both Lilly and Keller, the word for Lilly is sass yep she is total sass. Keller would be stoic and loyal oh very loyal I liked that about him.

I wasn’t a fan of how long it took Lilly to meet her family, that felt like it just took way too long. That part of the book really dragged for me.
But when she does get to meet them it was perfect they all clicked and that was really the whole point.

Now I liked the narration, I think John Hartley was perfect for Keller, Emma personally isn’t a favorite of mine because she sounds very posh. And yes it works because this is a “Royal” book but Lilly wasn’t until she was so there is that.

Silly but entertaining

Meghan Quinn is known to me for her humor so it came as no surprise that this story had its laugh out loud moments. Very whimsical and entertaining, enjoyed the “Princess Diary-like” theme.

Meh

The narrators are phenomenal and made it bearable because the story is mediocre. The female narrator’s character reminded me of an heiress/socialite,who met the male narrator’s character, which reminded me of Sean O’Conner in the Rock. Didn’t like the fact the lead female came across as co-dependent & the male lead had low self esteem.
It’s entertaining enough to listen to when doing chores or running errands.
