Publisher's Summary
Eight months ago vampires released the Revenant Virus on humanity. Both species were nearly wiped out. For Mike Robson, the situation could be far worse. He’s joined up with a small band of humans and the last coven of vampires who are riding out the zombie apocalypse in an old fort along the coast of southern Maine.
The group’s uneasy alliance is strained by the arrival of the creator of the Revenant Virus. He claims there is a vaccine that will make them immune to the virus, but it’s located in a secure underground facility 500 miles away. To retrieve the vaccine, Robson leads a raiding party of humans and vampires down the devastated East Coast. Yet none of the horrors Robson has faced match what awaits in the underground facility.

Horrible! Save your credit!
Would you try another book from Scott Baker and/or Bernard Cetaro Clark?
NO! The book is like a B rated SCI-FI Walking Dead except this book has vampires. The whole set up is nothing new....group sets of to find a cure gets to the destination then the book ends. I mean literally ends in the middle of the book. I thought I might have missed downloading a second part to this book but NOOOOOO! The book just ends in the middle of the story. I stared at my iPhone for the longest time trying to grasp what has just happened and the stupidity behind it. This is truly a WTF moment!!!
Has Rotter World turned you off from other books in this genre?
No! Have to take the good with the bad! THIS WAS BAD!
Did Bernard Cetaro Clark do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
NO! Character development was not the author's strong suit anyway.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Rotter World?
Would not have published book PERIOD!

Really enjoyed the concept of 3
I really enjoyed this book and how Scott put together 3 species, human, vampires and rotters. It made a wonderful and complex story that is different than some others I have read. There was also a quite sensual segment to this first book that was beautifully written and did not take away from the baseline story. Great job on the first book of this series Mr Baker. The narration was also spot on. I'm off to purchase Book 2 from Audible. Please give this book a try, you can't go wrong. It's a fantastic book!

New ZomPoc with a twist
Okay it might be a new ZomPoc, but it is for me. I'm not sure How I missed it but I'm glad I found it. Yes it is a Z book with vampires in the plot, unlike Mark Tufo's book, the humans and vampire are working together since they both have a common enemy; Zombies. (possible spoilers)
While it was th Vamps themselves that tempted fate by exposing humans to the virus it is unfortunate that they too became unwitting meals for the Z's, but they were in a much more pecarious position since they had to sleep at night, zombies don't and sniffing out food is what they do best. Wiped out nearly to exinction, the Vampires have joined the humans in an uneasy alliance in an attempt to survive.
And this seems to have worked for the Vampires that entrust their days to the humans. Although just as vulnerable to the same effects from a Z's bite with far more devastating consequences,(imagine a Vamp turned Z), they work together, making faster inroads to their mutual survival.
Until the actual 'Creator' of the Z virus is located and a rescue is made.
He appears to have the answer to curing he virus but it is in a location hundreds miles away, the only way to get it is a road trip....yeah that is where the fun Begins...
Taking a dangerous trip is bad enough but the Doctor has his own agenda where it comes to both Z's, humans and Vamps in particular.
Now the group must rely on the Vampires for help and the Angels, a group of women whom having faced their own tragic journey to get to the safety of the compound.
They have all faced hardship and learned fight, becoming protectors of the compound with a loyalty and feriocity that is unmatched by the few that are content to let others protect them.
Their is a very good dynamics in all the characters, from the Paul, the leader and found of the compound to the Mistress of the Vampires and the head security, Robertson and the Angels.
But with the long journey comes tradgedy and betrayal as perhaps the last hope for mankind and Vamps is in the hands of a man that had his own agenda for creating the virus.
It is a great storyline/plot and I must confess the series was brought to my attention by the Author himself when I won a book in the series. However it was the second book and before I can honestly review it, I had to know the beggining. Since I have little time to actually read much these days I usuallopt for the audible although that in itself is a hazard if the storyline is good but the narrorator is not up to it. In this case Mr Bernard Cetaro Clark did an excellent job with narration, it kept my attention since the stoyline/plot is also very good.
So while it is an older series, if you are a Zompoc fan, read the book(I intend to buy it as a pair for my audible) or audbile either one will be just as good. You will not be disappointed and I have a new Zompoc author to look forward to.
Thank you Scott Baker.

Zombies & Vampires!
Completely different take on the zombie apocalypse. Humans and Vampires working together against a common foe.. Excellent story, that's well written and I'm definitely looking forward to book 2! Narrator was very good too.
