I couldn’t finish this book. I had a tough time with this book. The virtual voice brought zero emotion. I am also having a hard time with the male characters. They are horrible! Not sure how she is able to forgive them for how they treated her at the beginning. Had to shut it off.

Rachel, the female lead character, was a push over glutton for abuse. I couldn’t get past the 7th chapter. She paid rent for an apartment and acted like the roommates were her boss. Seth was a verbally abusive man child. Lucas was a grumpy get wit and Hunter was a quarter decent but three quarters not. I get it Rachel was 18 and a freshman a long ways from home, but come on you got to have some type of maturity to you and a back bone if you’re going to go to school so far away from mommy and daddy. This book had me yelling at Rachel the whole time because she acted real stupid. I didn’t finish the audiobook and don’t think I will. This is just my opinion.

Female Character Sucked

and rachel is a pushover. Lucas, Hunter, and Seth are vicious bullies who delight in making her cry and you have to wait until chapter 9 before she finally grows a backbone. Hunter continues to call her a bitch until chapter 15. None of them ever apologize to her. This isn't romance it's stockholm syndrome.

*spoilers* the male main characters are bullies
