I feel like an outsider wherever I go. Croatoan, the Icehome Beach . . . neither place is home to me. So when a group heads off to the fruit caves to investigate thievery, I go with them. Any excuse to get away from the beach, where I've made a fool of myself in front of my ex and his new mate.

Things go from bad to worse as I'm kidnapped by strangers. These new people have four arms, long fluffy tails, and arching horns. They aren't like any aliens I've seen before, and they live in the warm caverns below the mountains. They should be the enemy. I should hate them for snatching me.

But the chief's son says I'm the most beautiful thing he's ever seen . . .

New plan: I romance the chief's son until he frees me. What could possibly go wrong?

Contains mature themes.

Who cares that it defies credulity as to how many Earth girls, clones, and aliens pop up on Not Hoth when each new species or tribe is interesting? I loved the underground tribe and the first half of the story line. But, once Rem’eb and Tia are back among her tribe, I got a little frustrated at how slow on the uptake everyone was as to (a) resolving translation issues, (b) establishing connection between the two groups, and (c) realizing that nothing was preventing the HEA other than their own limited thinking. Considering how much Tia bugged me in prior books of this and related series, I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book and only found Tia’s self-absorption mildly exasperating.

An excellent expansion of the ice planet series

The author of this book did amazing. She really gets me to be excited about the next few books. She’s about to write to see what happened, but as usual Tia is still selfish and didn’t learn anything.

I love the storyline

Ruby Dixon's creativity never fails to surprise and satisfy me.
I am sat.
A lot of tribal politics in this book.
I loved having the alternate view piont of the whole being captive in the underground.
Why doesn't Tia correct Rem'Eb when he refers to R'Jaal as Tia's Suitor ? He says it a dozen times and she never even acknowledges it.

Oh I love me some alien!!
