A New Start..

This book centers around the female lead, Willow who is running from a bad

partner and the male lead, Zarin.

Zarin can not believe who, or what, just walked into of his life but it isn't

smooth sailing, at least not at first.

Overall a well written, past paced book filled with likable characters.

Connor Brown did well with the narration.

Better than the previous 2

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. The previous two books were okay and this book was a bit better. The story was more appealing than the others. The narrator did a good job.

More Stratham

If you like Dragons, outcasts, shifters, or all of the above, you might like this book and series. I’ve had the opportunity to hear the first two books in the series and I’m curious about where Ms Stone is taking the larger story arc, aka the series. What will happen to this family of outcast half-breeds vs the purebreds? Is there something special about this town? It seems to be hinted at...
Brown has become the voice of the series.

Interesting story

"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, via Audiobook Boom, and have voluntarily left this review."
This story was filled with simple truths. The story told of how Zarin found not only his mate but a son as well.He and Willow also had to overcome their past in order to heal and take care of a 10 year old. The way they got the son is interesting. The narrator was ok and the story line was good. The ending was anti climatic.

Willow and Zaria Connect

I received a copy for an honest and voluntary review.

Zarin hides his dragon for fear what it will do. A lost of control results in Zarin running into Willow..his mate. She is human and serious beaten by a man, and was running from her old life to begin a new.
How does Zarin tell her she is his mate and must become the host to one of the dragons within him.
We revisit the two couples from book 1 and 2 and in book three the tribe of dragon half breeds grows...alluding to a dangerous future...building eventually to a climax.
The narrator does an excellent job and speaks in a manner I think is appropriate for the fictional dragon.
Looking forward to each book as it comes out

A mixture of Aris and Ilias.

received this book in exchange for an honest opinion and review.

This is the third book in the Stratham Dragons series. Book 1, Aris, was great and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Book 2, Ilias, le sigh was totally disappointing. This book is a combination of both. I love Zarin and Willow is an okay heroin. One of the issues that I had with this story is Willow. She, I understand that she is confused, is just so wishy-washy. She doesn't know what she wants and she feels as though everybody is pressuring her into choosing Zarin when everybody is giving her an out. I just feel as though Willow should have been more definite with her choices versus assuming that the choice she made is for everyone aside for her.

There were just multiple things thrown into this book even though this book was super short there were so many things happening. There was a witch, water nymphs, abusive husband, a pregnant dragon, a crazy drug addict who does not realize that she needs to calm down 😒, and a son who just mysteriously comes out of nowhere. With everything that was happening within this book there was really not that much time for romance and for Willow and Zarin to get to know one another.

What's so much new things being thrown in the series I have so many questions that need to be answered. What is the witch doing in Stratham? What is the son's purpose? Was there an ever get rid of that crazy side of him? What happened to the other pure dragons that were hunting the half-breeds? I know there's a war coming, does that mean that all these new characters will be fighting in the war? Where is the abusive ex-husband?

Even though this book technically did not end in a cliffhanger there are so many questions that are left unanswered that it's so frustrating. I just really hope that Sarah J. Stone does not forget about all of the new questions that she threw into this series and addresses them in the next couple of books.

Rapidly developing dragon shifter romance series!

This dragon shifter series seems to follow a particular pattern. So far all three books feature a growing tribe of vulnerable half breed dragons while each book focuses on one member finding his mate. The mates are human and seem to be more vulnerable than the dragons. But don't mistake them for weak because each ends up sharing her respective mate's burdens. Each book so far is complete by itself but there are always hints of something larger on the horizon. As such each story is like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle that together will lead to the larger picture. It is worth noting that each subsequent story has the characters from the previous books and is almost like a continuation of the tribe's story.

That said, Zarin's story has all the magic expected from this series. Zarin experiences his instant awareness and attraction for Willow who arrives into town escaping from an abusive relationship. She is attracted to Zarin but also extremely cautious of men. Zarin may have been willing to give her time to adjust but the arrival of a 10 year old boy in need of family and protection speeds up the process. Suddenly the need to find their connection as a couple to face the problems coming at them from different directions becomes paramount.

My only disappointment was that the tribe didn't face-off with Willow's ex. I felt this issue was left a little unresolved but then the story isn't very long and Willow and Zarin's choices definitely reflect the priorities of new parents and family.
