Publisher's summary

City boy Chase Russell is on the fast track to self-destruction. A star athlete, he gets into trouble with drugs and alcohol. Fulfilling a community service sentence in Yellowstone National Park is the last thing he wants to do. After a night of drinking in the park, he wakes up to find his new friends gone, and everything around him has changed.

Sarah Osborne grew up in the rugged Yellowstone wilderness. She can hunt and track right alongside the most experienced men. When some Indians drop a near-dead man off on her doorstep, she doesn't know what to think. He's convinced he's from the future, and wants to find a way home. Chase has no idea how he ended up time traveling to the past. He doesn't know the first thing about surviving without modern conveniences.

Finding your own food means a quick trip to the nearest fast food joint, not hunting and foraging for it. Time and again, his will is tested to stay alive in this untamed land. Is his growing love for a brave woman who shows him what it truly means to be a man strong enough to keep him in the past, or is he still determined to return to the ease and comforts of the future?

Chase and Sarah

A part of Peggy Henderson's Yellowstone series, it was able to be a standalone but works better if read in order. Yellowstone scenery is described beautifully. Loved the characters and time travel storyline. The narrator did well but as a matter of personal preference wasn't my favorite. The author's work, 5 stars. The narration only 4.

Favorite book

I have read this book multiple times and now fully enjoyed the audiobook as if it were the first time knowing the story. The narrator is significantly better than the one from Yellowstone Heartsong. I have read the whole series more than once and this is my favorite story of them all.

You never know how strong you are until you know!

Where does Yellowstone Redemption rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 10!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Yellowstone Redemption?

The last leg of Chases "race" against the Blackfoot. I felt my heart matching Chases as he is avoiding being killed!

Have you listened to any of Nick Sarando’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Nick is a GREAT performer. I could have sworn that Nick somehow got into my mind and captured Chase exactly how I heard him in my head when I read the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Boys will be boys, until they understand what it means to be a man.

Any additional comments?

I think this is one of my favorite Yellowstone books. Peggy masterfully told the story and made her characters very believable. I think that is why I love this series so much!

Couldn't Stop Listening

Would you listen to Yellowstone Redemption again? Why?

I would definitely listen to Yellowstone Redemption again. Even though its a nine hour book it doesn't seem like it, since you get so involved with the characters and the narrator keeps you wanting more.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the settle hints of the connections between the characters from their travel through time, and the love story. I was so involved with the love story I found myself talking out loud saying "Kiss her already". You get invested and want them to find happiness within each other.

What about Nick Sarando’s performance did you like?

The narrator Nick Sarando's performance was wonderful! He kept me interested, and it was hard to stop listening. I would definitely like to listen to other books he's narrated. He's so different from the usual mundane narrators that are out there.

Chase and Sarah and their exciting romance!

Where does Yellowstone Redemption rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

up in the top 10. I so enjoyed all the books if it is in Kindle or audible.

What other book might you compare Yellowstone Redemption to and why?

I can't really pick just one of these books in this series. They are all fabulous. I did enjoy reading about Sarah and Chase's story. I loved listening and learning about Daniel and Aimee's daughter's personality. She is such a little spitfire.

Which character – as performed by Nick Sarando – was your favorite?

I love the way he gave voice to Chase.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes! I did listen to most of it all in the same day. I just listen to the audible while I was doing my daily activities.

Any additional comments?

what an emotional adventure. my favorite part was when Chase had to run for his life from the blackfoot warriors.

A great listen!

I enjoyed this book every bit as much as the first one in the series and for all the same reasons: strong characters, engaging story line and a great balance between romance and adventure. Nick Sarando did a good job of narrating the male characters, especially Chase but fell short with the female characters.

Highly Recommend

Would you consider the audio edition of Yellowstone Redemption to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed reading the book but I also enjoyed listening to the audio. It just added another wonderful way to enjoy a favorite book. Now that I know how nice it is to enjoy a book both ways, I will not hesitate to buy a audio of a favorite book for my library.

What about Nick Sarando’s performance did you like?

Nick's performance as Chase was perfect. He had that smirk in his voice just as I pictured in my mind when I read the book. Nick was also very convincing as each character and I was able to recognized each one by the change of tone in his voice. I enjoyed listening to him and hope to hear him in other audio books.

Any additional comments?

After a drinking binge and passing out in Yellowstone, Chase Russell finds himself time traveling two hundred years into the past to the year 1835. He meets Sarah, Daniel's and Aimee's daughter, ( Yellowstone Heart Song) and this begins a wonderful story of Chase with his bad boy cocky ways, growing into a man worthy of standing proud and confident along with the best of the mountain men. I have to admit, I didn't care for Chase in the beginning, but as I got further into the book, he started to grow on me and I could understand a little of why he acted and thought the way he did. And after the episode with the Blackfoot Indians, I have to say, he has stolen a piece of my heart and has become one of my favorite heroes. Sarah, strong and brave and so much like her mother, falls in love with Chase, but will her love be strong enough to keep him here when he wants so badly to go back to his time.
This is part two of the Yellowstone Romance Series and just as wonderful as the first one. Full of romance, laughter and parts that had me crying and that all makes a book worth reading and listening to. Peggy L. Henderson once again with the help of Nick Sarando's narration, brought her characters to life and all were very believable. I am looking forward to listening to part three in the series. JudyE
