Don't miss this fantastic book

Wow! Dawson McBride once again narrated this great book. I loved revisiting the characters that were established in the 1st book of this series. The story in this book flows nicely. It was suspenseful and surprising. This author is on my to buy list.

western romance with lots of drama and suspense

Another 'McCade' story that is chocked full of drama and suspense, and, if you have a vivid imagination like me, some gruesome moments...like when Wyatt was attacked...eesh! So, this is Wyatt and Dr. Tessa's story. We learn that Tessa is about to move back to Boston for a special medical program. In an effort to get her to stay in Cheyenne, Wyatt proposes marriage...and she rejects him. Heartbroken and angry, Wyatt disappears for months and avoids his family home. Finally, needing some family time, Wyatt heads home, only to be attacked by an enemy and minions just outside of town...and left for dead. Tessa works feverishly to save Wyatt's life and sticks by him during his long recover...then she explains why she rejected him...she has a huge secret that she believes would affect their relationship. The pair have to navigate a relationship, and eventually marriage, while the McCades fight long time enemy, Brett, to keep their land. If you love westerns, lawmen and excitement, then this book is for you. Now to wait for the next McCade's story...

Love never ends

Wyatt and Tess have loved each other forever, it seems. But the loss of Wyatt's father and secrets from Tess' past aim to drive them apart. But when Tess tries to leave and a bounty is placed on her head, Wyatt goes on the hunt to collect the best bounty of all....

This is the second book in this series. It is a wonderful story, full of desperation, loss, hope, and love. I enjoyed every moment!

I really enjoyed this..

I really enjoyed this story. It is kinda hard to listen to because the narrator had such a deep and raspy voice. He is great with men’s voices but there needs to be a woman for the female characters. I listened while I was driving so it kept me awake and interested.

Good story that make you keep listening.

The second book in The McCades of Cheyenne Book 2 is really good. I enjoyed it more than the first one but both were good. I found it too long again but it had a lot of action and twists and turns.
I still don't need to listen or read about the aspects of the sex and the highlights of it.
I guess it didn't bother me as much this time because from the first book I was ready for it but this one had a bit more if I remember correctly. However the story itself is really good and I really liked it and the narrator was good.
Its kind of funny as I watch NCIS and this narrator had Dawson's voice like one of the actors on my favorite tv show.

Realistic characters and suspense

If you really like westerns, then don't miss this book. I would call it a steamy western. There is a great deal of suspense, greedy Easterners trying to steal land, and well-developed characters. The author has a talent for writing excellent dialogue. I just wish things moved a little faster in the book, but that is part of what stretched out the suspense.

I rated the performance as only average because the narrator doesn't have the ability for really giving the characters different voices like I have heard in so many audiobooks. However, he does do a good job of adding emotion and has an easy to listen to voice.

Emotional dangerous and suspenseful

This is a very suspenseful read that keeps the reader interested. If is full of drama, mystery and takes off where the last book left off. We now know more about the McCades and how their father died and the outcome of the men who took his life. The author gives wonderful updates on the characters from the past book as Wyatt decides to step up to the plate making demands of the women he loves that leads to turmoil and broken hearts.

Not much has changed from the last time I listen to this narrator in the first book, his voice is rough and ragged just like you would think a cowboy should be. Some times it was hard for me to tell who was talking because his voices are so close sound to the others. At times his voice seems a little flat, pauses when he should not and a few times he should have. Since I had already listened to him in the first book it didn’t take as long to over look the issues I have and really enjoy the listen. His male and female voices were nice for the most part I knew who was talking. At times, I could feel the emotions of the characters and other times I feel more was needed. All in all not bad at all and very enjoyable. There was no background noises, no volume changes if any breaks were taken I could not tell. All over I thought his performance was good and I enjoyed it. With a little work on character voices, showing true emotions he will have a wonderful career as a narrator.

I thought Wyatt come across a little to forceful when trying to get Tess to talk about her feeling and how he was going to make her do what he wanted. He was just to high-handed throwing too much power around. I know if a man came into my home and said and did the things he did it wouldn’t have turned out good for either of us. To me he came off as a bully and just set my teeth on edge. Once we got over this part he seems to get some sense and backed down. From then on I enjoyed the story. Once Tess turns him down and said she is leaving town he sees some very hard days. He had the angels on his side there is no other answer for him still being alive. His pain is real, and he pretty much gives up on living, hunting one dangerous man after another not caring if he lives or dies until he finds out Tess didn’t leave and races home as fast as he can only to find trouble along the way.

Tess has a secret that no man wants to hear not in those days. There is one big thing keeping her from agreeing to marry the man she loves. When months go by and Wyatt doesn’t return she gets worried. Turning to his mother with long talks maybe just maybe she can have Wyatt and the life he promises her. That is until the plot takes a big turn throwing a tail spin on the story. Leaving many on the edge between life and death.

I thought the author has a wonderful plot but I did feel it was a little long. She gives wonderful detail with a lot going on. There are stories inside of stories as you get to know the characters and the town. I enjoyed the mysteries, the characters, the supporting characters. Tess is a very strong woman but feels no man will want her. She can stand on her own but really wants a good man to love her. Wyatt is hot-tempered his mouth gets him into a lot of trouble. With the way things go down he is going to have a lot of time to think over how he deals with issues. I chuckled a few times, even raised an eyebrow a time or two. I thought it was an exciting story with danger, excitement, fear and challenges that really made it interesting. There is a lot going on between these pages and at times I found my mind wondering but the author was able to pull me back. An enjoyable read with characters you will like, you will chuckle, with a few mouth drops and a lot of smiles. I thought it was worth my time and feel most will enjoy it.

I so love the McCade boys this is an amazing story

What made the experience of listening to Wyatt's Bounty the most enjoyable?

Kim Turner has a magical gift for writing about Cowboys and Indians in the Old Wild West, she really makes her characters come alive so that you really feel like your there with them as they go on an epic journey of discovering secrets and uncovering lies that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

What other book might you compare Wyatt's Bounty to, and why?

I just loved Sawyer's Rose the first book in this series so much that when I saw that Kim Turner had written a book about Wyatt McCade I just had to listen it. This book can be read as a standalone but is also a continuation of the story of the McCade brothers and their many adventures of fighting for what is right while trying to stay on the right side of the law and of finding love along the way.

Have you listened to any of Dawson McBride’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I have listened to both books in this series and I can say that I enjoyed them both equally.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This story was so good I just didn't want to stop once I started listening to it, the passion between Wyatt and Tess was so endearing and the fighting and plotting was so thrilling and so totally heart stopping.

Any additional comments?

This story has a great plot line and has many twists and turns. The story you can tell has been very well written and you won't be disappointed if your a fan of listening about hot dreamy cowboys and romantic adventure stories.

I enjoyed these characters.

I was keen to listen to this book after meeting Tess and Wyatt in the first instalment. They made a nice couple. Their story didn't disappoint although it was predictable.
We also see a conclusion to the long running feud Bennett has with the McCade family. There is plenty of action and suspense which really held my attention although there weren't any surprises or twists in the story. I enjoyed the brothers working together to overcome an evil that had plagued their family for years.
I liked both stories in this series and I would recommend listening to Sawyer's Rose first as you get the back story to the feud, the death of the Wyatt's father and there's more of Tess and Wyatt to enjoy.

I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy provided by the author.
