Publisher's summary

Stephanie cannot believe her eyes when she wakes up in Faery and her date claims to be a werewolf...and her mate. Will she accept him?

Colin is the sheriff of Wolf Creek, and a protector at heart. Easygoing and laid-back, unless something threatens his mate or his pack. But sometimes there's an enemy so evil, so hell-bent on destroying humans, that a patient wolf shifter turns into the fiercest predator.

Stephanie is a 911 dispatcher who thinks she's lucked out to meet a guy as handsome and kind as Colin, a man who finally makes her feel safe in a world she knows is filled with evil. But when she learns the truth about her seemingly ordinary world Stephanie must face grave dangers that she never thought possible.

It turns out, she is not just a regular girl at all - she's an empath. And her new boyfriend Colin isn't just a small town sheriff - but a wolf shifter bound to her by loyalty and love.

And now Stephanie and Colin must race against time, keeping Amon and his war against humans from becoming a reality.

Together, the two of them must stop Amon, a dragon with a delusional god complex, hell-bent on taking over not just Wolf Creek...but the world itself.

:-)

It was great to hear the prologue story. It was just as exciting as the other stories. I hope they continue the series.

Excellent

This was a great book. I think it should have been book 1 instead of a prequel though. But all in all I loved it.

Wolf Creek Sheriff Fairies Dragons

Stephanie met her mate the Wolf Creek Sheriff and all her childhood fantasies came to life one by one. There really were fairies, werewolves, and dragons. These shapeshifters were amazingly good looking and had become her friends while they fought one bad dragon who was greedy for more power and used Stephanie as bait to achieve his goals. Ian the pack enforcer stopped that with his sharp shooter skills but Stephanie almost died in the process but was saved by the dragons. Another amazing story and narration! Hope there will be more!!!

Great prequel that gave the backstory for the trilogy.

Really enjoyed getting the backstory and love the way the books are all intertwined and continued character development. Narrator did a great job also and really enjoyed series

Good book. They packed a lot of storyline into a little over 2 hours.

This PNR prequel has potential.

Although this book is numbered as fourth in the Texas Pack Shifters series, it is a prequel that should be read first. This is the first book by Jo Ellen that I have experienced, and I liked it. While it was a little rough around the edges, this series has a lot of potential to be great.

This short (2.75 hours) audiobook has insta-love and very little relationship development. However, the couple quickly established a sexy rapport, so I have no complaints on that score. There are several typos but not enough to bother me. The plot is mostly centered on a quest by the wolf shifter sheriff of a special Texas town and his new human mate to possibly save the world from a dragon invasion. I was quite entertained by the plot and by the humor and personality of the heroine. I appreciate her boldness and willingness to embrace the existence of paranormal things, including a fairie world. The hero was very likable with a pleasant personality. The few bedroom scenes were moderately steamy and written well. I really liked the smooth, sexy voice of the narrator Jonathan Waters, who is talented at character voices and pacing. I look forward to listening to more in this “Texas Pack” series.

Short but packed with power

This book is placed as book 4 in series but it’s actually the prequel to the series. If read last like me it’s a great back story of Stephanie and Colin. This may be a short book but wooo is it packed full of action, suspense and love. Jonathan draws you right in to all the characters with so much emotion. Thank you so much Jonathan Waters for introducing me to this series. I loved all 4 books and now fell like I need more more more.

Fun and quick story

Narrator was too monotone and kept putting me to sleep or boring me. Also, it’s hard to tell what is being said as an internal though vs out loud by a character because of the strange writing style. Overall, liked the story line though.
