Publisher's summary

If someone had told me a year ago that I was about to fall in love, go on an epic road trip, ride a Triceratops, sing on a bar, and lose my virginity, I would have assumed they were on drugs. Well, that is, until I met Beckham. Beck was mostly to blame for my recklessness.

Gorgeous, clever, undeniably charming Beck barreled into my life as if it were his mission to make sure I never took living for granted. He showed me that there were no boundaries, rules were for the spineless, and a kiss was supposed to happen when I least expected. Beck was the plot twist that took me by surprise. Two months before I met him, death was knocking at my door. I’d all but given up my last scrap of hope when suddenly, I was given a second chance at life. This time around, I wasn't going to let it slip through my fingers.

We set out on a road trip with nothing to lose and no guarantees of tomorrow. Our road trip was about young, reckless love. The kind of love that burns bright. The kind of love that no road-map could bring me back from.

✫✫ 4 Stars ✫✫

This book was sweet, sad and heartwarming all in one. The characters found each other exactly when they needed each other which I loved. Abby needed to find adventure and start living her life and Beck was adventurous, kind, fun and exactly what Abby needed. I enjoyed the banter, the shyness of the romance and I even liked the heartbreak but I really loved the ending. This book left my heart happy!

The narration was good. They both sounded like the characters should have sounded, which is good cause I always worry with young characters that the narrator will sound too old.

Pay the money, give your credit and cancel all your plans for the next 7 1/2 hours! Trust me your going to need to!

P.s for all you hopeless romantics out there that won’t read a book without a proper love ending(like myself) It ends with a Happily Ever After.

Should've read it

I really liked the storyline. It's a sweet book. The author is funny, but in audio, the author is only as funny as the narrator. This book has the humor that I've come to expect from R.S. Grey but Jessica Almasy missed the punch lines. Other than that, this is a great book. Just don't buy it expecting it to be as funny as her other books. Bottom line. I'd buy it again.

Soooo... cute!!

Would you consider the audio edition of With This Heart to be better than the print version?

I've only listened to the book.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the banter between the characters. While I find that things developed fairly quickly, it was very enjoyable.

Which scene was your favorite?

The VW scene after the rain. I thought that was funny. She just wouldn't shut up.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I thought that suddenly the story would pull the rug from under me and take her away..and I was sort of panicking for a few minutes.

I liked this so much

This was such a sweet experience ... TBH Jessica Almasy's voice grated on me for the first 5 minutes or so.. But I am a complete convert to her talent.. She made me grow to love the MC's voice and all the voices, male and female were done SO well I sometimes forgot it was one woman speaking. Ms. Almasy is very talented in the emotional scenes and the humorous scenes.
I wondered if the story might be too immature to me, two kids taking off on a road trip, but the writing had me write there with them. I felt the rain soaked clothes, experienced the crazy dinosaur park and smelled Beck. Wonderful, sweet, sexy Beck. Who I always was expecting to have a catch because he was just too wonderful, haha.
When I read romance novels I constantly wish things were said or done, instead of leaving them unsaid. This only happened in one teeny way in this book, when Beck discovers her in the other room learning darts. I wish she hadn't made it about her insecurity over the prettiness of other girls, but rather if she left his side he was constantly in a conversation with another girl. Don't get me wrong, he's not guilty of anythings, but I wish she had said that instead of she felt she wasn't pretty enough. So he could know how she was made to feel. But that is one line out of this whole book.. I just really recommend this for the 'heart' this story has.

With This Heart

I have listened to a number of RS Grey books on audible and they have all been pretty entertaining. This book is not like the others. It is a "heavy" read. The main character (Abbey) has undergone a heart transplant and is trying to "find herself" and figure out her life now that she is not terminal. She meets Beck when she is planning a road trip. He invites himself to join her on the road trip and the book unfolds through the road trip, until it gets unexpectedly derailed. I don't want to give away too much, but the book basically is about Abbey "finding herself" and coming to terms with her situation. This is not one of my favorites by this author and I'm happy that I got it on sale rather than using a credit for it. The narrator is terrible with the female voice. she sounds like a child and has a bit of a whine to her voice. When she voices the male character her voice is much better.

Very good

Enjoyed the story. I like how real their dialogue is. Their reactions and candor are well done. Also the narration is fantastic. I cried a lot and smiled even more.

The best R. S. Book I have listened to (so far anyway)

For the last 2 months I have greedily been gobbling up as many R.S. Grey audio books as possible! She is one of my new top 5 favorite authors. This book was great. It had me crying and laughing (with my earbuds in while grocery shopping at Publix)! This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster, the good kind. The ones where when you get off you want to get right back in line again, even if the line is 45 minutes long! Bravo Mrs. Grey this book was AMAZING! Also, I wouldn’t mind a spin off with the roommate!
