Gracie Billings is at odds with her life on Carson Hill Ranch. Having shown up with her sister six years ago as a scrawny, needy child, she has grown into a beautiful girl and a capable horsewoman. But everywhere she turns, she's thwarted in her attempts to contribute like a real cowboy.
Seamus Carson has practically grown up with Gracie and has always seen her as the kid sister that fate denied him. When he begins to realize that there's something special about Gracie, his fears of his family's reaction to the news keep him from seeing her as anything more than the sister he's always picked on.
Will Seamus and Gracie admit their feelings for each other, or will they continue to deny themselves until the day it almost tears the family apart?
Any additional comments?
This was a great listen Gracie has always been one of my favorite characters. I can understand why she feels she is in left field not knowing where she belongs if anywhere. The author brings back all the characters that we have come to love but still it is a little different then the past books in this series. The plot is wonderful and really holds your attention about a two people who grew up more or less together overcoming the issue of being almost like brothers and sisters. On top of that they have to overcome the rest of the family issues. Each brother feels like Gracie is their little kid sister, no one is good enough for her and they will kick anyone’s tail that tries to take her away from them. Which leads to a big issue when their brother Seamus sets his sights on her. The author takes you through the joking and picking stage and how much that upsets Gracie. Of course they must admit they love each other that bring issues of their own. It really was a wonderful listen with a wonderful narrator.
This narrator is one very talented person giving a compelling listen with such passion you can feel through her voice. She really brings these audio to life giving you a highly entertaining read as she puts emotion into the audio you can feel the pain, sorrow, sadness, joy, happiness through her tones. Her performance is outstanding as she pulls you in taking you away through the excitement and danger that comes. I love her many different voices from her sexy strong males to her sassy strong women. She pulls deep inside herself giving you a compelling listen that will leave you chuckling and at times laughing. She knows how to hit the correct tones really keeping the listener invested as they wait for the next shoe to drop. There are not any background noises and no breaks were taken that I could tell. You can picture the story unfold through her voice and her tones. You have no trouble knowing who is talking or what they are feeling. What this narrator brings to the table is a very clean, crisp, clear audio you get lost in.
I did think the ending was a little rushed I would have loved to have seen how the one brother took the news once the moves had been made. The ending is really wonderful it will put a smile on your face. I really enjoyed meeting up with past characters seeing who has had children and where their lives has gone. This is a wonderful family with normal issues. There are land issues which they could lose some of their land along with other issues that is spin in a wonderful tale that will really keep you attention. I really like this authors writing style is it very well written.

all these books are great in my opinion. I have listened to each several times
The more books I listen to in this series the more the Carson feel like family. These have to be my favorite series of romance books. They are all sweet stories that any age group can read. In this book Seamus admits his love for Emma, the problem, Emma is like a little sister to the overprotective Carson men.
Valerie Gilbert is the only person I can imagine narrating these books. She's fantastic.

Wishing for Love
After years living on Carson Hill Ranch, Gracie is all grown up. Seamus begins to realize this, but doesn't know how to proceed, because he always picked on her like a little sister. It's fun to watch as kids grow up, but not know how to show it, as other things change too.
I love this series!
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Valerie Gilbert gives a great performance.
I was waiting for Gracie's book. Being 6-1/2 years since she arrived on the ranch, it was her time to shine. Gracie arrived on Carson's ranch at the age of 13 with her older sister Miranda, now married to Casey. Gracie has always been treated like the little sister, but never felt like she totally belonged. Now grown up, she is having even a harder time finding her place. Seamus, the 5th Carson, has fallen for Gracie, but is unsure how to reconcile the "sister" with the woman. I enjoyed this story, though at times felt Gracie was just being difficult, or slightly immature. I was very glad when Seamus finally took the bull by the horns and declared his love. I am curious to see how it will play out in book 6. This story also included much of the rest of the family, births, pregnancies, ranch life, life adjustments. The Carsons have become part of my family!
Valerie Gilbert is awesome as the narrator. I am so glad she has be the narrator for this series giving it continuity.
