Could have been good but......

Weak narrator that doesn't give this book her all, I often couldn't distinguish between which characters were talking ruined this listen for me, coupled with a so/so plot makes this a so/so listen.

Worth a credit? No, not in my opinion, there's much better Highlander books out there which has spoilt me for lesser ones.

Terry Spears-always fun to read.

Terry never fails to entertain-she offers fun adventures and takes you places you have never been and could never go to except in her stories. Always happy to read the next book as soon as it comes out. Great escape.

NARRATOR NARRATOR NARRATOR!!!

Any additional comments?

I couldn't even get through the first hour of this book unfortunately....only because of the narrator. She was horrible....went so fast and with no expression in her voice that I couldn't even follow what she was saying. I had no idea what was going on in the story so I turned it off and bought a different book. Too bad.......Somebody...please Somebody...listen to these narrators and determine if they are worth the money of an audiobook!!! Bad Bad Bad.

Narrator is monotone.

Liked the story but the narrator did not differentiate the characters. Men all sounded like women.

Ok Story, BAD Narration

Would you try another book from Terry Spear and/or Maxine Lennon?

I've read Terry Spear's books and they are great. The narrator ruined this one for me though.

If you’ve listened to books by Terry Spear before, how does this one compare?

N/A

Would you be willing to try another one of Maxine Lennon’s performances?

No. She doesn't have a lot of emotion in her narration. It was hard to distinguish the characters. I felt like she barely paused, it was fast even after slowing it down. I found myself zoning out throughout the entire read. I've read the book version and it was much better.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Not if Maxine Lennon was involved.

Any additional comments?

A quality narrator can make a bad story good. With that said, a good story can be ruined by a bad narrator.

Winning a Highlander's Heart

What did you love best about Winning the Highlander's Heart?

That even though this story was placed in the past, Lady Anice was a very strong independent woman.

What did you like best about this story?

Wonderful storyline. Lady Anice and Laird Malcolm were able to find out who set about taking over her land.

Did Maxine Lennon do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I did not particularly care for Ms. Lennon's narration. But her narration did not detract from the story.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy Terry Spear's writing. I think that through her writing and descriptions, the reader is able to be transported into the story.

On a cold day.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I don't know if I would recommend this book to a friend.
I enjoyed killing a cold winter day with this book.
The story has humor, mystery, and love. I wasn't thrilled with
the reader. She didn't seem to breath.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Winning the Highlander's Heart?

The scene in the cottage with the villians so close.

Would you be willing to try another one of Maxine Lennon’s performances?

Maybe. I wouldn't search her out though.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No. Last movie I went to see was Fatal Attraction
when it first came out.

Any additional comments?

Please find more male readers. They are easier to listen to.
