Publisher's summary

Wildcat: a football formation in which the ball is snapped, not to the quarterback, but to another player lined up in the quarterback position.

Wild, Cat: a beautiful woman from the sky, who hooked me against the rails, and has me on the ropes. Sweet like honey, with a hint of sass burning behind her pretty brown eyes, she took over my heart without warning. I'm Quinn Bailey, quarterback for the New York Mavericks. Sports analysts predicted I'd break records and take my team all the way. But no one predicted this. And just like the other team, I never saw it coming.

Brilliant

One of my favourite books of 2018. As I expected this was a fun and oh so spicy listen too. Both Quinn and Cat are fabulous characters and I would love to read and listen to more of their life together in the future. One click now, totally worth it.

Epic PROMISE Epic FAIL😢

After no less than 10 Max Monroe reads I can comfortably say, NO to this story. It had the potential but as a Black woman I was left feeling insulted. "Kitty Kat" really? Biracial young 24 year old woman has to stoop to that as a pet name? She goes on her 1st date with a NFL millionaire to McDonald's and a car wash, just sad. Compare to other's in series she is pitiful. You make her character simple, add needy. She could have been virtuous, saving for the one. She should been stronger, starting her own business so young why not make her wealthier....(Um Hoboken). The other women in the series are desirable, smart, a force of independence and confident. Deserves a re-write. Do BETTER!

Perfect Love Story!

Whoa! I’ve never read this author before, but I’ll be getting the next book in this series for sure. This was a sweet love story performed by the perfect pair. It was so nice to read a book with a strong lead female and an always adorable male lead. I was hooked from the start and loved every minute of it!

Racist

After the second time the biracial female protagonist is described as doing something like a chimpanzee and then as a monkey, I stopped. As a reader of many of this author's books, this description has never been used before to describe her white characters. The male love interest talks down to her in the way women in their early 20s and teens find cute, but as an adult woman, I just got the ick and stuck with it because M.M.'s stories are cute and not everything will be a 100. But the not even subtle racist way of describing a young woman's happiness was disgusting. Do better.

Meh

The nickname kitty and kitty cat sound like a strippers name. He could have called her wildcat like the book title and it would have sounded less stupid. I do think the conflict although traumatic it was fine but he didn’t really make a huge effort to fix anything at least the way the story was written he didn’t. He didn’t standup to his parents. I mean it was glossed over it when it should have been a focal point if you were brining racism to a story. It felt short and didn’t maximize the potential of the story.

The storyline was good. Predictably sweet.

I would’ve loved to hear an African American female narrator since the character was described as a mocha complexioned black woman. Ava did a decent job but her tone missed the mark.

Football.. QB ... Meow

Catherine ... adorable and charming.. and completely oblivious to what football is about.
Listening to her description of any part of the game is hilarious!!
Enter Quinn.. QB, also is his position on the Marvrick's Pro football team... who happens to fall for Cat.. Kitten is Quinn's weak spot..
Between the two and the accompanying team and families.. Max Monroe have done it again!!
I enjoyed the performance, to a couple of narrators I have not listened to but loved them just the same.
This is the beginning of a trilogy I can't wait to finish.

Quinn I love a great QB romance novel

I read the books in different order, but still love them. I love how the authors manage to write so fluently together. The audiobook is amazing, the narrators did an amazing job. Can't wait for more.

Enjoyable Read

First, I commend the author for not shying away from what this couple would/could face in real life, even though it wasn’t a dominate theme. I love the diversity of the characters in this book. It was an enjoyable read. The title is included in the membership so I listened for free but would not have been disappointed to use a credit for it and will likely listen to the other titles in the series.

The story had some really sweet moments, some laugh out loud ones, and also some angering ones because of the realism in it. I thought the narration was good; both narrators did well. I didn’t always like the way the male narrator made the female character sound in specific moments. For the female narrator, I have no issues with how she played the role of the female lead or other characters, I enjoy her as a narrator, however, I do wish someone who fit the diversity of the female lead had been chosen to narrate.
