Publisher's summary

Welcome to Clean Slate Ranch: home of tight jeans, cowboy boots, and rough trails. For some men, it's a fantasy come true.

Mack Garrett loves the rolling hills surrounding his Northern California dude ranch. Leading vacationers on horse trails with his two best friends is enough - romance is definitely not in the cards. When a sexy tourist shows up at Clean Slate, he's as far from Mack's type as can be. So why is the handsome city slicker so far under his skin in less than a day?

Roughing it in the middle of nowhere isn't anywhere near Wes Bentley's idea of fun. Then he lays eyes on the gruffest, hottest papa bear he's ever seen. But Mack is as hard to pin down as he looks - distant, sharp-tongued, and in desperate need of a shave. Until a campout gone wrong strands both men in the mountains with nothing to do but get to know each other.

Mack intends to keep his closely guarded heart out of Wes' very talented hands. But for a seven-day cowboy, Wes is packing some long-term possibility. The cold country air can do wonders for bringing bodies together - but it will take more than that to bridge the distance between two men whose lives are worlds apart.

Cowboy and City Slicker with incredible chemistry

Loved this book so much! It's the first I have read/listened to A.M. Arthur, but I'm hooked and eager to read many more stories! Solid story, great characters and hot romance! And of course, Greg Boudreaux narrating just makes it all the sweeter! Looking forward to the next books in this Clean Slate Ranch series

I'm addicted.

I have 225 audible books, but I can't go even 30 minutes after I finish this series to start it all over.

Lovely story

Loves the first installment so much I bought the second audiobook before I was halfway done with this book. The author is a favorite of mine and so is the narrator. I waited a while to purchase because cowboys are not my favorite trope - I overdosed on them growing up. I may have to change my mind because it was really good! The plot and background on the characters were awesome and the developing romance was well paced. Greg as always did an amazing job with the narration. The characters had different voices and when he acts out the intimate scenes he is just on fire. Great story made better by superb voice acting. On to book #2.

enjoyed it

📖 Story comment: Good pace, likeable characters, entertaining story - the end felt a little rushed, but the story was interesting and entertaining enough that it's got me looking for the next one.

🎧 Narrator comment: I love Greg Boudreaux as a narrator. Every book he narrates is a master performance. He has a good range of characters so its easy to distinguish them from each other and has a way of subtly altering his tone so it's easy to distinguish a characters inner monologue from dialog which is a real skill for a narrator. He has good cadence, inflections and intonations and he really knows how to bring characters and their story to life.
