An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart. I had a plan. Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right? Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, right? That's what they say, at least. I went into that day hoping I'd get the happiest day of my life. What I got? The worst. I mean, you really can't get any worse of a day without someone actually dying. So...I may have gotten just a little drunk, and maybe just a tad impetuous...and landed myself in a dive bar somewhere in Alaska, alone, still in my wedding dress, half wasted and heartbroken.
The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together. And I don’t mean any of that figuratively. No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker - my physical therapist - I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit. She said she’d been assigned to fix me. But what I didn’t know...what I couldn’t possibly know...was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

That moment your life changes. That moment that changes your life. That moment you love someone more than you love yourself. That was the moment we gave our son up for adoption and the moment I was left bare. A wide-open space that would forever be empty.

Zach Watters has made a lot of mistakes in his life. But when he sees Shelby Calder, looking more beautiful than ever, standing outside her childhood home, he promises himself that letting her go won't be a mistake he ever makes again.
I love a second chance romance. This is a great teen to adult love story. As teens Zach & Shelby face the hardest decision of their lives and come out of it pretty broken. That is what separates two young lovers. 15 years later they are back in each others lives and are adults, parents and divorced from their spouses. I really liked that they took something that destroyed them as teens and instead of using it as an attention seeking poor me situation, they both grew up and took responsibility for their lives and were better people because of that. They have a great love story. Oh and did I mention I love single dad's in my books ;) A single dad who knows how to be an adult when it comes to his ex and puts his kids first makes my heart flutter. Great story, great writing and Great narration.

I enjoyed this audiobook about a man and s woman with heartbreaking history who find themselves back within reach of love. It's complicated by exes and kids, but they are meant to be together. Excellent narration by two of the best!

"We were meant to be here, right now in this moment. We were meant to find each other again.”
A second chance story by the amazingly talented Aurora Rose Reynolds? Yes please!!! Ms. Reynolds's beautiful and addictive narrative absolutely hooked me from the beginning! Zach and Shelby are high school sweethearts and the circumstances that tore them apart broke my heart. When they meet again, their chemistry is electric and palpable!! I loved that despite their time apart and failed marriages, their love didn't diminish, and they came full circle in finding each other again. Zach was deliciously alpha and a DILF!! I loved everything about him especially his relationship with his kids, and I liked that this story had no OTT drama. It's a story about rekindling a lost love; it's about two families coming together and being one; it's about acceptance; and of course it's about that once in a lifetime love!!

Usually the first thing that gets me is the cover & this one did not disapoint. 2nd the narrators in which Maxine Mitchell is one of my all time favorites along with Joe Arden, you've got my full attention. Now we look into the story which truly peeked my interest. Aurora Rose Reynolds is a true story teller. The characters are all very interesting and the story, the story had me half in tears then to jumping up giving fist pumps in the air. Love, good sex, a bitch and a bastard.Excellent Excellent story all around. This book is well worth the purchase price. I can't wait to read "Fighting to Breath" by Aurora!!!
This story will have you frowning, smiling, upset, in love, feeling their pain yet hot at the same time. The two main protagonist had quite a history that was full of love and pain which made me wonder if they could ever get past it. Throughout the trials they experienced this story is a great example for couples to see where love, communication and compromise could take you. Also where love is easy and not hard as much as we try to fight it. It is a beautiful story in addition to the first book which literally had me in tears. If you do not get the audible, please get the e-book.
