SICK & TWISTED SNUFF-BRIDE GAMES

This is the first book where I truly hoped that the heroine would kill the hero - and his two brothers - then it got a whole lot worse.. and then I hoped they'd all just kill each other. Max is a Billionaire who lures broke Naomi into a three week 'anything goes' contract in exchange for $50 million and naive Naomi agrees so she can pay for her Dad's cancer treatment.

But when she gets to his Mansion Naomi realizes she's been played.. because there are eight other women just as shocked and they're joined by Max's two Brothers and it turns out that the three psychotic sadistic manipulative brothers each enrolled three women into signing their devious contract. Deadly games ensue which include the most shocking and nasty sex scenes I've ever listened to.. and I sped up and skimmed through a lot hoping that no-one would be left standing after the brutal rapes, the gang bangs, the pregnancy twist and all the violent and senseless murders.

So I tried to find the pot of gold at the end of this dark rainbow.. but it never came - it just got worse and worse, sicker and sicker.. and, at the end, I felt disgusted at myself for wasting precious time, that I'll never get back, on this nasty snuff-book. You could look at this as a clever twisted story of just what evil lengths a group of greedy humans will go to to survive.. and prosper - and that may work.. but I was expecting some sort of romance which sadly never came. Dual POV and I'm shocked that two respected narrators actually spoke this rubbish.. I thought I could count on their choices.

Worth a credit? Errr that, fellow listeners, would be a big fat NO.. but we're all different and just maybe you'll find the pot of gold that I clearly missed.

Wickedly Good!

I have to admit, I’ve listened to many dark romance/thriller, but this one is in a class of its own! Deeply in debt, Naomi Lee is given a proposition. All her financial problems can be solved by being at the beck and call of Mr. Marino for 3 weeks in exchange for $50 million. Of course, for that amount of money anything goes and the contract ends up costing Naomi more than she could ever have imagined. Naomi’s no wallflower and she has some tricks up her sleeve and betting against her could be fatal!

Wicked Bride Games starts off like so many wealthy man/poor girl stories, but that’s where the similarity ends and this audiobook veers into territory that few authors dare to tread. If you’re sensitive to violence, sexual depravity, and wholesale slaughter, you might want to skip this one. This book takes no prisoners. I found it fascinating and wonderfully over the top.

There’s plenty of suspense, twists and turns you don’t expect. It's action packed all the way to the end. This 7-hour audiobook is a duet narration by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross and they did an amazing job on this top quality production.

So dark and yummy

Kai and Wen did an amazing hob narrating this story. This book is so sick and twisted and sooooo delicious. I loved it. It's The Hunger Games meets Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty. This story is so dark and disturbing its amazing. I loved listening to every second. As I listened I didn't know what to expect. I mean this is one of those games that only the rich and powerful could come up with. I do have to say that I love how Naomi's mind works and how she continually surprises Max and his brothers. This story really blew me away and left me wanting more. Clarissa really did an amazing job and made something absolutely amazing.

What Just Happened

This book began at the start of an odd game and ended there as well. A poor woman who lost her job was seeking a bank loan and that visit to the bank forever changed her life. She met the man who was, in the end, mister right for her. A gruesome game ensued with an odd set of characters and circumstances. No spoilers here so no more about what was written in the book. I will say the love story was perfect though it was not apparent for sometime. The female lead character was a strong, smart and gutsy woman who laid out her plans and carried on. All of the male characters proved not as smart as she. The narration in this book was dual point of view and moved easily between Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. It is probably the best use of this type narration I have ever heard. They so embodied these characters they became them in my mind. I have listened to them many times but this exceeded any past work for me. This is a dark romance and Kai and Wen,who are usually much lighter, were excellent. I'm off now to search for more work by this writer, Clarissa Wild and these narrators.

Absolutely amazing.

First of all I am an avid dark reader. When I say that I mean it's my go to 9 of 10 times. I've read some pretty disturbing things in my reading lifetime. However, nothing comes close to the amounts of intrigue and gore that Clarissa threw at me in Wicked Bride Games. And I loved it. Oh how I loved it, as Naomi would say. Truthfully only one scene grossed me out in the entire book. And that's saying something. The main characters were devious and cunning and completely sick. Exactly the kind of characters that kept my interest the entire time.

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross were spectacular in this audio. I can not think of any narrators that would have been a better fit honestly. They made me feel as if I was there and experiencing the scenes.

There is no romance in this book

I read all types of romance books, and dark romance has its own appeal but within this whole book is not one bit of love , romance, affection...nothing. Its just a bunch of sex scenes, rape, gang rape type things by brothers. The main female character is as hard as the three brothers who have absolutely no sex appeal or charm. This belongs in the more erotica catagory, not in the romance catagory.

The sex scenes aren't done well, the book is pretty much without any type of emotion. I wish I liked it, but I just didn't.
