Graham: Sleeping with one of my best friends was not exactly a brilliant idea. It made things complicated, and I didn't do anything that threw my life into chaos. The fiancee her brother, Jack, had stolen had been part of my life plan, one more step I was taking to be somebody. Granted, I hadn't been in love with my intended bride, but I didn't really know how to love anybody.

I survived. I pushed to achieve more. I battled my way to the top of the heap in my pro football career. I'm a total dick, and I don't want Lauren to see the side of me that would trample over anybody to work my way up in the world.

Lauren sees me as a hero, a title I'd never gain with anybody else in my life, so I wanted to keep her sheltered from the hard realities of my life. I wanted her to continue to think I was nice guy when I was really just the opposite.

We never should have crossed the line of going from friends to lovers. There's too much Lauren doesn't know about me, and I care enough about her that I don't want her to share my pain and the darkness.

enjoyed characters language is rough. it did drag a little but overall well written and enjoyable

Perfect Sport Story.

Interesting medical topic being explained. Made for and interesting story. It isn’t often that Bipolar subjects are disguised.

Goo book. I enjoyed listening.

Overall it was a good listen. Anticipating Tyler's story in book 2 of the series

Must Read Well Played!!

This romance novel had me laughing out loud at times, nearly crying at others, and drawn into the lives of the characters so much that I couldn’t quit reading. I have read all of J. S. Scott’s books and this by far has made me feel so many different emotions during one book. I highly recommend Well Played!

Cheesy but sweet

I appreciated that there was an actual plotline to this novel, but was put off by the cheesiness. Many of the conversations were incredibly unrealistic and over-the-top. The narrator did a great job portraying the characters even despite the cliche dialog. Overall it was okay, not a waste of a credit, but wouldn't listen again.

Great book!

I love this book and the writer. The characters hit home for me. The struggles and the triumph over adversity. Well done.

WOW!!!

J.S. Scott and Ruth Cardello are two of my favorite authors but together they knock my socks off. The story was great, the emotional punch was perfect and the timing of the plot was perfect. I WANT MORE!!!

Bring on the second book

Really liked this one, especially since it addresses a disability overcome that’s I’ve never seen addressed in a romance novel. The story never lagged, and the narration brought it to life. Hoping to find a second one in what I hope is a series.

As with all of Ms. Scott’s book it is extremely well written! Very angsts and a little depressing though. Narrator was good as always!
