Publisher's summary

All Katie wanted was a fresh start.

TerraMates was supposed to provide Katie with a life on a new world and an opportunity with an alien husband. She had everything planned except for the assault on the TerraMates shuttle and her abduction.

Now she's all alone, surrounded by a violent alien race hell-bent on invading Earth. Her only hope is a threatening alpha military hero. Are they soulmates? Can an Earth girl's destiny be intertwined with an alien?

This story takes place in the TerraMates universe, but can be heard as a stand-alone novel.

military man!

this book has one serious military man. takes is orders and does his duty no matter what. problem is one earth girl that he just doesn't want to admit wanting. boy is he in for a surprise when he finds out that sex doesn't have to be just wam bam thank you ma'am lol. his planet has never had interactions with earth before, so there is some interesting moments when his crew gets curious about her. there is some violence, adult content and is a stand alone.

A lot of story!

There was alot of story in this book. A good listen with a lot of action. The interaction between the H/h was interesting and new. I do enjoy how each story is so different in this series. You never know where Terramates is going to take you next!

Lisa Lace Does It Again!

Each TerraMates story is unique, exciting with great world building and character development. This is one of the few series you can actually listen too the stories in any order, which is a refreshing change from other series.

Warrior Invasion was great, and the plot was a little more intense than some of the other stories; however, I felt the ending was a little rushed and should have been developed little bit more. Other than that, I enjoyed Kate and Troxeo's story.

This is the first audio I've listen too that was narrated by Terrence Bayes and though he did a great job.

Not bad at all! I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Great twist on the series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I received this story for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this twist on the TerraMates series. In this particular story TerraMates is sending out full ships of brides to be rather than single woman. But the story focus on one woman in the last ship that goes out. Katie is taken from the ship by Troxeo because she isn't acting like the rest of the woman on the ship when he invades the ship.

I liked the inner strength that Katie had not only in choosing to go to a different planet in the hope of starting a new life, but also in finding herself in a situation that was completely out of her control. Even facing imprisonment and torture didn't break her spirit.

Troxeo showed the honor and depth of character that he had when he didn't follow the standard treatment of female prisoners of his race. In fact he was willing to give up everything for Katie.

I loved how fleshed out the characters were. It was easy to get in touch with them and feel like I was right in the midst of the action with them.

What about Terrence Bayes’s performance did you like?

I love the reader's voice. He does a great job of bringing the scenes to life, both the action and the romance. He's read several of the TerraMates books and I hope he continues.

Katie and Troxio

Katie has resigned herself to being a mail-order bride with Terra Mates after her last relationship failed because she found her partner in bed with someone else. Whilst on her journey to meet her match the ship is boarded and she is kidnapped. Can her luck get any worse?

Troxio is a warrior who obeys orders but he is at a loss as to understand what his commander wants with a human, especially a female. Troxio is a confusing character, he is a total contradiction being both aloof and protective towards Katie so you just don't know what to expect from him.

This wasn't my favorite book of this series so far, because Katie and Troxio's relationship didn't actually gel until the end of the book, for the most part, the chemistry and connection Lisa Lace is so good at writing are missing. Troxio was harder to connect with than most of the other males in this series although I did warm to him slightly at the end.

The narration was very well done and did add to the story for me. I do own the ebook of this story but I read it some time ago so I came to the story fresh so to speak.

I was given a copy of this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

opposite attraction

Great story of want, will power, and need with some denial. Will he or won't he save the girl or take her for his own.

Good, but...

Good, but not as good as the previous stories. This one just wasn't as interesting. It didn't have as much excitement and the two main characters didn't really spend too much time together. Their relationship did not have any time to build or develop. It was a very blank, for lack of a better word. Meaning, there wasn't much to it. The two main characters meet when he kidnaps her and takes her to his home world where he hands off to his superiors. He didn't spend too much time with her on his ship on the way there, nor did he spend much time with her after they arrived. Then she's taken by another male forcing the main male to have to rescue her. He retrieves her and decides to take her back to earth. Troxio, don't know if that's spelled right, and Katie spend a bit of time together on the ship this time, but not much, before they get together physically. Immediately after they decide they want to stay together. It just felt like the author tried to develop the story in the beginning, but then ran out of steam half way through the story and rushed the ending. I'm going to continue the series, but I'm a bit hesitant. I'm hoping the next story is better.

Lisa Lace does it again

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Lisa Lace has to be one creative author. I have listened to all the previous 9 books and each one is different from the others. Where she comes up with these ideas is amazing. I enjoyed the characters, Katie and Troxio, as well as the story. The thriller part of this story wasn't as good as some of the other books, but it still sped up my heart in some places and gave me anxiety. That's how I can tell it is a good book. The romance was very short. It didn't happen until very late in the book, but you knew it was coming. The narrator did a good job with the different characters. Always look forward to Lisa's stories. Keep up the good work.
