Publisher's summary

It’s no surprise to Betsy that her trip to Hell with her sister, Laura, landed them in hot water. Betsy isn’t exactly sorry she killed the Devil but it’s put Laura in a damnable position: assuming the role of Satan (she may not have the training but she looks great in red) - and in charge of billions of souls as she moves up in the world. Or is that down? But Betsy herself is in an odd new position as well - that of being a responsible monarch suddenly in charge of all things more earth-bound: like her vampire husband, Sinclair, who has gone from relieved to ecstatic to downright reckless now that he can tolerate sunlight. And if Sinclair isn’t enough to contend with, Betsy’s best friend, Jessica, is in her sixth (and hopefully last) trimester. Considering she’s been pregnant for 18 months, she’s become a veritable encyclopedia of what not to expect when you’re expecting. Oh, the horror…

And speaking of growing pains, Betsy and Sinclair’s adopted little BabyJon is finally starting to walk. And if the increasingly unpredictable toddler is anything like his extended family, precisely where he’s headed is anyone’s guess.

Weak: Undead Series Loses its Way

The first half of this book is a wandering series of sentences with no plot or theme. It is absolutely dreadful. You are four hours into listening and you are thinking, "what the hell is this story about -- literally?" The second half of the book at least has a plot (of sorts). I am tempted to think that Davidson mailed this one in, she had half a novel -- the end -- and no way of getting to it, so she just rambled with retreaded early book one-liners till she had enough pages.

That being said, the second half of the novel was plausible if not disagreeable. Hated the ending, hated the premise of the ending, though Davidson had twisted the characters and motives in a way that well outside the bounds of the story-line well beyond a writers license to twist.

I have no idea how, if ever, she will recover from the disaster which is book 12. This is a train wreck and I would suggest you avoid it even if you read the whole series. Wait for book 13 if there is one and read them back to back with the hope that 13 will be a resurrection of sorts. I am not holding my breath.

Loved the story but the ending.....

What made the experience of listening to Undead and Unsure the most enjoyable?

I loved every on of the books in the "Undead" series......I always laugh and find them really enjoyable.

What about Nancy Wu’s performance did you like?

Nancy is great at all the voices and emotions especially Betsy.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

*SPOILER: I have to say the ending really got me. It seems that Laura is showing her true colors and the anti-Christ......is really becoming a very nasty person. I'm sure there will be another book, at least I hope there will

Any additional comments?

I hope in the next book Sinclare helps Betsy get out of her sisters clutches. I also hope it won't be long before the next book comes out.

The Story Just Gets Better With Every Book

Although the books have lost some of their humor the story line becomes more intriguing with every new book. Nancy Wu is the perfect narrator for Betsy & her friends. Thank you Mary; I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

So unfair

For one thing there’re three Betsys that don’t match, original Betsy, second time-line/current Betsy, and future Queen Betsy. Current/original Betsy wants to change things for the better, always, but never really knows what to do/not do in order to not totally mess everything up worse. Now there’s past Eric and current Eric that is still mad in love with Betsy, both current and original. Aww 🥰. But but, big. BUT he’s also afraid of her, say what now? Because honestly, only future Betsy is terrifying in her cold calculating manner, but now future Betsy has changed and is more like Betsy we all know and love. All in all it’s really confusing, but now that Eric won’t be turned into a book, he’s even more afraid of what Betsy is capable of. What’s unfair, listen and you’ll learn, but it saddens me greatly. Still awesome and amazing, still missing red soled Louboutains, but still good, I just feel bad for Betsy, who is both her best friend and more than that the her worst enemy that will lead to her destruction.

Skip "Unsure" and go on to the next book

Thirty six chapters could have easily been summed up in 3. So much prattle so little story line.
I have truly enjoyed all the books in this series prior to this one and I'm positive the next book will be outstanding! PS loved the history lesson at the end.
