A summer job. That's all it was supposed to be. It never crossed my mind that I was about to collide with a man who would obliterate every plan I ever made. My mother has always warned me that love is like a lightning bolt and it strikes without warning. But I had no intention of getting struck by either lightning or love anytime soon. I'd be too busy finishing my journalism degree and landing a job in a city far more sophisticated than Phoenix. There was certainly nothing in the cards about getting involved with an ex-ballplayer turned nightclub boss.
In fifth grade my teacher set us up with pen pals from a different school. Thinking I was a girl, with a name like Misha, the other teacher paired me up with her student Ryen. My teacher, believing Ryen was a boy like me, agreed. It didn't take long for us to figure out the mistake. And in no time at all, we were arguing about everything. The best take-out pizza. Android vs. iPhone. Whether or not Eminem is the greatest rapper ever. For the next seven years, it was us. She's the only one who keeps me on track, talks me down, and accepts everything I am.

Meet Blaire. An underachieving college student with zero prospects and a ton of issues (hey, being the less-successful twin of a gorgeous supermodel would totally do that to you). She doesn't do bad boys. Actually, she doesn't do boys, like, at all. Not that she's a lesbian. And not that there's anything wrong with being one. It's just that...well...she kind of needs to focus on graduating from college right now.
He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska. A sexy, cocky Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive. When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually tense nights in hotels, and taking unplanned detours. My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.
Dr. Devlin Dane has had his sights set on my panties for months. But I've done a stellar job of fending him off. As Mercy Medical's most eligible bachelor, he has no problem in the panty-dropping department. He's tall, dark, and inked all over. I get the appeal; I'm not dead. I'm not stupid either. He's a walking heartbreak waiting to happen. But when Reese Dane comes crashing into my life - literally- the game suddenly changes. The two have an unstoppable pull like centrifugal force.

A USA TODAY Best-Selling Novel
MacKenzie Cahill has dealt with overbearing and overprotective brothers her entire life, making it near impossible to enjoy her teenage years. Having a boyfriend was practically impossible until she met a guy that wasn't afraid to stand up to them - Dominic. He was sweet, thoughtful, and everything MacKenzie ever wanted in a man. But when they go away to college at Old Dominion University, MacKenzie sees a whole new side of Dominic and begins to wonder if he really is different from every other guy. Her world is turned upside down after a party, and her brothers' best friend Hunter is the one there to offer her a shoulder to cry on. The chemistry between them is electric, and feelings for each other that have been hidden for years are finally voiced. Is Hunter willing to be disloyal to his best friends in order to be with the one girl he's always secretly wanted?
This book has the worst writing ever. It sounds like a teenager wrote this, one who didn't know what they were doing. I wouldn't recommend unless you like terrible writing. The story could have been good if the writing was better.
The main character was extremely childish and annoying ... I don't see what any guy would see in her. She blew up at those around her about the most trivial things. Felt like a bad junior high flashback. I couldn't finish it.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely recommend this audiobook to a friend that likes those kind of stories. I don't like reading bad reviews for books. You can understand from the beginning if the story is right for you, if you like it finish it and if you don't let it go and try something else. This one is a simple teenage love story with an AMAZING ending (and the series continues) which keeps your interest up to the end. The characters are young with teenage problems, and suddenly they have to deal with adult problems without being ready to do so.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character was Hunter even though he has many flaws at the beginning. In general I liked all the characters of the book.
What about Jessica Almasy’s performance did you like?
Jessica Almasy has a wonderful voice and fits to the teenager voices she must perform. I liked both the girly voices and the boys' too. She is very good.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Don' t know what to expect...
