True Valor

I enjoy reading a book that involves romance some mystery, but doesn't use vulgar language and graphic imaging to get the point across.

I think the books in this series remind us that there are those among us who sacrifice much so we can move through our day without worrying when we put our children on the school bus or take them to a mall. Without people like those portrayed in this series of books, that probably wouldn't happen. Ms. Henderson creates characters that intrigue us enough to want to get to know them and that encourages us to look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Is the book the best book I have ever read...no, but it is interesting and I feel good as I read it and when I finish it.

An amazing Sequel

If you could sum up True Valor in three words, what would they be?

Perseverance, Bravery, Strength

Who was your favorite character and why?

Grace; You expect the three words above when describing a man in the military not a female. It was a great story outlining how difficult it must be for women in the armed forces. Change is necessary but rarely easy. Grace's character shows women can do the job as well as men but also the balance necessary to have a personal life.

What does Tom Stechschulte bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He really brings the story to life.

Enjoyed listening to this

This is part of a trilogy of romance novels usually involving the military. It was a nice listen and didn't require a lot of concentration. Not serious literature but very entertaining.

Intriguing suspense

If you could sum up True Valor in three words, what would they be?

Having faith in God in dire situations.

What did you like best about this story?

You became so involved in all the characters personalities.

Which character – as performed by Tom Stechschulte – was your favorite?

I would have to say Bruce.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but you wanted to contemplate about what you read. The story has a lot of depth to it.

Any additional comments?

It needs another book to tie the ending up in a better way.

Good book, terrible narrator

Not quite as good as the first one in the series, but almost. The narrator is even more anoying in this one than the last. Not only does he pronounc "sure" as "shore" for every character, but one of the main characters is called "Wolf", which the narrator prounounces "Woof" every time. There are 2 male and 2 female main charaters. Unfortunatly this narrator has only one male voice and one female voice, making it difficult to tell the characters apart frequently.
Despite his shortcomings, the book was very good.

Military Lives

JWright
Unlike Book 1 of the series, Book 2 seems more focused on the characters’ words, thoughts, and actions. The reader is allowed to eavesdrop on the contents of characters’ letters as their relationships develop as each serves in the US armed forces.

The narrator does a beautiful job yet again!

The beginning moved a little slowly at first, but after I began to understand the author’s method, I was better able to become acquainted with each character.

God, Love and Action

What a wonderful story! It is so nice to find an author who is bold enough to write a compelling story and who doesn’t need to use profanity in it! I enjoyed hearing the letters between Grace and Bruce, and watching their love story and their relationship with God grow and flourish.

Well done!

Feelings

This book seems all about feelings. it's simply not my style at all. there's a few chapters where something is happening but mostly you're just waiting for two couples to get married. I couldn't even finish it. I was thankful for a clean book however
