Publisher's summary

Bridal shop owner Meg Halloran spends her days making other women's wedding dreams come true - and her nights dreaming of her childhood crush, hometown heartthrob Dr. Benjamin Rushford. After a lifetime of wearing her heart on her sleeve, she's done waiting. Meg's ready to find love, with or without him. Moving on feels right - until Ben pops an unexpected question.

To win the open ER position in Mirror Lake, Ben has to convince the board that he's settled and ready to put down roots. His latest stroke of genius? Asking Meg, the local good girl, to be his pretend girlfriend. With her by his side, he's a shoo-in for the job. But he's in over his head because, as much as he tries to deny it, Meg tempts him. And if she learns the truth about a secret that has shadowed and shaped his life, will she ever be able to forgive him?

Good Story but the obstinate H!

This review contains spoilers although it does not give the outcome of the story away.

3.75 Stars for me!

Have you ever read a story where you wanted to throttle a MC? In this story, the H meets and exceeds the oblivious to reality threshold for 90% of the story.

STOP here if you don't want any spoilers.

The H is now a doctor yet he never reviewed the autopsy report of his friend's death that he blamed himself for. He refuses the enter into an emotional relationship so he doesn't have to go through loss again... yet he keeps himself miserable anyway.

The h saved the story for me by acting like an adult most of the time and working to help whenever possible. She has her moments but don't we all?

Ready for the next story in the series.

Really enjoyable!

When your brothers best friend turns into a life long crush, what do you do when he wants to pretend to be a couple for a night?!?! Well you say heck yeah of course!

What do you do when the one guys your mother doesn't approve of turns those sexy eyes on you?!

This is a really cute story of Meg, just trying to make something of her grandmothers bridal store, when she happens to be stuck on an elevator, behind a mountain of dress boxes, when she hears the sexy voice of her long lusted crush. Why oh why did it have to be the very same elevator that he gets on with a long legged giggly woman draped all over him?!

This was really enjoyable. I liked following along Meg's story when a once in a life time opportunity to be close to her crush for night just falls in her lap.

He needs her, and although she doesn't need him, except in her dreams, they come up with a plan to help his career and turns out-hers too!

Doctors, Lawyers, & Indian Chiefs

I loved this book. It's written in a unique perspective using the past & future. What they've held onto from the past that has kept on crushing their lives & what they find out as the real truth after all these years. The love interest in the story is told from both perspectives. They feel like they can't be a couple because their families blame each other for the tragedy in the past. Finally Meg begins to ask the right questions of the right person. How did her brother really die??
