Intense story!

Narrators were equally good. I was connected to Heidi and Landon's story from the beginning. I couldn't help but listen and hope thy they'd work through things together. I felt Landen. Poor guy, he tried doing the right thing and always seemed to get cheated out of a happy ending. I felt like he was struggling to keep his dreams alive. It wasn't hard to root for his happy ending.

This book made me fall in love with the entire Wright family. And I'm eager to learn more about the remaining characters!

Glad I purchased it.

Stupid characters!

Ugh. I had to push myself to finish in hopes there would be something redeeming. No such luck. Spoiled whiney characters in a shallow story.

Female Assumes No Responsibility??

How is it that Heidi sent mixed signals and assumes no responsibility for her actions? Emory sounded more like an adult in book 1, but in this book the females sound like valley girls.

Ok listen

Updated 8/2/19: Audible Escape. It’s not horrible, it’s just OK. I liked the narrators. Joe Arden is one of my favs. I had a few issues with Lidia Dornet’s portrayal of Heidi & Emery at times ~ occasionally it was as if they never left high school, not that they were nearly 30yo professionals. I’m not sure if it was the writing or Dornet. (I liked Dornet in Lorelei James’ “Need You” series, so I’m inclined to believe it’s this book or director.).

Can we pullleeeze get over the whole “Landon dated Emery in high school” thing? It was beat to death in the first book. Emery is with Jensen now. We’ve all acknowledged that there is *nothing* between Landon & Emery. Why does it have to keep being an abused source of “angst”? 🙄

So Landon leaves his wife and the Wright siblings restructure the company to find a position for him. He becomes Heidi’s boss. Landon’s ex acts like a crazy woman. Landon & Heidi “hide” their relationship ~ by going out in public together, by spending the night at each other’s houses, and by going to a PGA event surrounded by media. And then they are SHOCKED that someone saw them. Canyoubelieveit? As us Southerners say, “Bless their hearts”.

Landon & Heidi get their HEA and I’ve managed to stay intrigued enough to want to listen to the next book. Would I spend a credit on this, no. But as part of Unlimited listening on Audible Escape, sure.

Ehh...

Okay let's start with the narrators: I always like Joe Arden; Linda Dornet is not my favorite, but I have listened to worse. Story: Cute and very predictable. I was on board until Heidi really got mad a Landen because she was a willing participant in their relationship and it back fired. Can't be mad at someone else for your choices. It just made the rest of the book super whiny and annoying. Overall, an okay book. I've listened to the first two, so I guess I'll give book three a shot. Read the reviews on book three and it seems like everyone hates the narrators... Let's see...

Like the series.....

The first in this series was my first book by this author. I really like most things so far...
*I love that there are different narrators for each book~
*I love that each couple's story has been very different~
*I love the writing style of the author~

What did really grate on my nerves was that I like Emory so much in the first book and in this book, I felt especially that the narration for her voice, but also some of her actions made her sound like an immature 16-year-old. Her personality portrayal in this book was almost as if she were a different person, which was irritating if you are invested in the whole series.

Still loved both stories, just disappointed in the above issue.

Great Listen!!

I love this Series!
The Wright Family is Amazing! I can't get enough of this series.

I highly enjoyed Heidi and Landon's story. These two deserved their happily ever after. Their journey together was bumpy and they made a lot of mistakes but in the end, their love was strong enough to bring them back together.

I really enjoyed Heidi's story with her father and how it turned out. Their was so much emotion there.

Great read/listen!!
Definitely recommend!!

Narrators Joe Arden and Lidia Dornet gave an excellent performance. Their voices and emotions complimented each other perfectly.

Landon 100% Heidi 0%

Heidi is annoying. That’s all I can say, otherwise I liked the story, Landon is legit, but I was annoyed by her too much in this book.
