Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Tracy Anne Warren is among the world’s most popular Regency romance novelists. She sweeps listeners to the Irish countryside for this saucy tale of deception. When Lady Jeannette Brantford is banished from her family’s estate in England, she encounters the dashing Darragh O’Brien. Too bad the common architect is well below her station.

I loved reading it

Would you listen to The Wife Trap again? Why?

I rarely re-read books. There are too many books out there, I read and listen to books. I have no time to re- read

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that Jeanette learned and recognized who she was and what she wanted. Well done to the author who had to make us like like her after book 1

What about Bianca Amato’s performance did you like?

I did, I think she did a great job

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did laugh at her first dinner attempt

Good story

Lady Jeannette is really annoying but in the end you grow to like her..maybe...a little bit...but i love Darragh...but its a good idea to listen to this one before listening to book 3

Underwhelmed

I really enjoyed book 1 and could not put it down. I also really liked book 3. So I thought this one would be right up my alley. Not so much, I hated the main character, she was selfish and self absorbed and I found it hard to believe that anyone would find the character attractive. After Jeannette's horrible behavior in book 1, the author was going to have a hard time redeeming her. Tracy Anne Warren tried but I think she came up short. Still, the book is well written and entertaining at times. I'm not saying pass, especially since the other books in the series are so good, but don't start with this one and don't let this one put you off book 3.

Spoiled Brat

I found it difficult to listen to the intolerably spoiled brat, Jeanette and her antics. I rolled my eyes for half of the book, yet continued listening in hopes that she'd have a break through and be redeemed. I won't give spoilers, but if you harbor the same hope, just know that you'll need to be VERY patient.

Not my favorite of the series

Main character isn’t likable and neither is the love interest. Miscommunication trope is not my favorite. Well written banter and great narrator. Just had to force myself to continue listening because I’m interested in the next book.

Great Follow up to first book

I enjoyed this second book as much as the first. Warren makes you feel for the “ spoiled” sister in a way you didn’t in the first. Please do give it a listen.
