Perfect Narrator, Awesome Hero, Super Sexy!!

I started with book 5 because of the 5 star reviews and a reader I had not listened to before. Wayne Farrell is an Irishman and did a wonderful Rory, and he didn't make wispy female voices either. I loved his performance: booming as Duke Lucien, level headed and sexy as Rory, the sweet and confident Nerissa.

I listened again to the steamy sex parts just to hear Wayne growl and murmur! HOT!!

I'm moving on to the other stories with an old British actor, and my first chapter impression is that I'm not impressed. The amazing Derek Perkins should have been hired for these books.

It's 1779 and Irish former rogue and privateer Rory (Rury) has been sent on a mission to London for the new American government. He abducts Lady Nerissa, sets sail to St Malo, France and the sparks are flying! I loved this story, it's well worth the credit.

Rich with descriptive imagery and fully developed

Book Plot - 5 STARS

What an amazing book! I enjoyed the plot and the interaction of all the characters from this book who also appeared in previous books to this series. Rich with descriptive imagery and fully developed characters the reader will be enthralled with this book.

I felt a great deal of compassion for Lady Nerissa de Montforte as she tried to overcome her disappointment of the failed engagement with Perry and her older brothers interference with her life. Her feisty rebellion against her restraints was handle with finesse and brought tears to this readers eyes.

Compassion is the word I think of in regards to Irish Captain Ruaidri O' Devir. How he survived his childhood to become the adult he was shows great strength of character and a dark desire for revenge. This is one character that the term "Don't judge a book by it's cover" fits to a T. He really made this story work. Ruaidri won my heart from the first page and many times throughout the book I had tears in my eyes regarding situations he and Nerissa got into. But for me the most memorable was the conversation with Narissa's oldest brother, Lucien and he in Boston it's caused a pang in my heart and tears to flow.

This book is an awesome display of family love, honor and forgiveness.

Narrator - 4.25 STARS

Narrator Wayne Farrell did an outstanding job on the male voices and accents. In the beginning I struggled with his female voices but the book was so well written that eventually I forgot my feelings regarding this and began enraptured in his narrating.

Explosive Combo= Author & Narrator!

Narrator: Wane Farrell, boy, do I love his voice! And he does one heck of a job on this one, also.
Been waiting since 2016 for this audio version to come out and It Was Worth it!
What a great story!
Captain Ruaidri O' Devir & Lady Nerissa de Montforte are just what the story is about: Explosives.
Really liked the battles. Love how the brothers De Montforte stand together and how the Duke finally saw the light and accepted that he's not always right.
Love that we got to see Brandon again.

Great Author and FANTASTIC NARRATOR!

I love Danelle Harmon and this is my first listen to one of her books. Wayne Ferrell is one of the best voice actors I've listened to thus far. He brought this sexy Irishman to life and I found myself going back just to listen to him talk. Ruaidri O'Devir is definitely my new book boyfriend.

A Great Series

This series got better with each book. A story of family with action, lovin’ and a hint of mystery. Farrell had the best Irish accent. It was swoon worth and added another dimension to a great story. What a way to end a series. Sex level 6 to 7. I always want to know sex level since sweet is not my thing.

Great read

I have really enjoyed this series; but while I think the actor is gifted, his voices and inflections were not consistent with the characters. Andrew was read a little mousy, while his character is pugnacious. The Duke's voice was high pitched. making him sound shrill and petulant. vs the man who is one of the most powerful men in England and who wears that power as comfortably and casually as he does his skin.
