Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Cassia Leo comes a twisted and passionate love story that pushes the boundaries of loyalty.

Maybe we shouldn't have fallen so fast and so willingly.
Maybe we shouldn't have moved in together before we went on our first date.
Maybe we should have given our wounds time to heal before we tore each other to shreds.
Maybe we should have never been together.

Houston has kept a devastating secret from Rory since the day he took her into his home. But the tragic circumstances that brought them together left wounds too deep to heal. Five years after the breakup, Houston and Rory are thrust together by forces beyond their control. And all the resentments and passion return with more intensity than ever.

Once again Houston is left with a choice between the truth and the only girl he's ever loved.

Pretty good.

no one in this book has a healthy romantic relatonship. at some level each love is tragic. the main characters Rory and Houston have what could be an enviable love until you see how weak they were because of it. this story is well developed with great sex scenes. can't call them love scenes.

heavy

emotionally draining but impossible to put down. my heart hurt after reading this story, you love it and hate it all in the same breath. I wanted to hate these characters based on lack of morals but at the same time you can't help but feel for them, the deceit that surrounds them, and not even purposefully is wrenching to the core. great story but like I said...heavy.

Amazing Love Story....

What did you love best about The Way We Fall?

This was one story that kept me glued to my iPhone. It was raw and emotional and even unimaginable (the letter). When reading a story like this, or in my case, listening to one, it's natural to root for love, believing that true love always wins. But sometimes things happen differently than we imagined. The only thing that I would have enjoyed more would have been if the female audio performer spoke all of Rory's parts and the male audio performer spoke all of Houston's parts. Even still, I definitely recommend this audiobook.

The Way We Fall in Love with a Book

This story is a rush. It evoked so much emotions and threw twists in as if we were on a roller coaster instead of in a book! I couldn't stop listening. And thank goodness the narrators did a good job. Cassia Leo is such a talented offer, I was glad her story came across well in audiobook. Can't wait for book two!

Whatever

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I would not call this book a waste of my time, but it was a struggle to listen to. I am happy that it was short.

Any additional comments?

It had potential, but over all it was a snoozer.

3.5 star worthwhile love? story

Any additional comments?

3.5 stars. This was a cute listen I quite enjoyed it. It was quick and fairly well written. The narrator did a great job making the listener a part of the story.
I liked Rory, she is a girl trying to find a place in the world after tragedy occurred 5 years ago. She grows a bunch as a character throughout the story. I however am not a large fan of Houston. I found him to be a jerk to say it politely. He's possessive in all the wrong ways.
I loved the time jumps between 5 years ago and current. Was definitely the best way to tell their story.

All and all worth the time and I will listen to the next one!
