More Romance than Mystery

Fun, fast-moving,

Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first one. She was quite entertaining.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Most definitely. I only listen to books driving to and from work and I found myself wanting to listen to this one while I was in the house.

Perfect

The combination of Robyn Carr and Therese Plummer is just magical. My only complaint is that there aren't enough books. I've run out. Robyn Carr writes light and interesting. I can't stop listening. Therese Plummer is the most talented narrator I've heard. She amazes me the way she switches voices, and she's so much fun to listen to. I'm just waiting for the next book. Oh - one more thing. I thought at first that it was going to be predictable, but it wasn't. That was a very pleasant surprise. I don't want to give away the plot. Loved this book.

Just isn't as good

I really loved the Virgin River series and was excited about getting this book. Sadly I have to agree with many of the other reviews. The characters were too numerous and I frequently got lost as to who was talking and what was going on.

I love her work and the narrator is the BEST!!! SO GOOD I love all there books together!

Good Story, Narration Distracting

I did enjoy the story. I have to admit the main characters were mostly men and having a female trying to do the male voices was a distraction for me. I almost stopped listening but got interested in the story line and finished the book. I gave it 4 stars because of that. Enjoyed the characters and the magic of falling love despite past hurts. Will listen to another one of her books. Hopefully a bit better on character voices.

Loved it!!

I absolutely loved this book. The characters were wonderful.narrator didn’t do to good of a job separating the voices. They are always the same. The story was great. Will try another book by Robyn.

Warmed my heart!

I so appreciate Robyn Carr’s ability to pull me in to a heart warming great listen. I stole every minute I could to listen to these characters. They all kept me wanting to hear more. And Therese Plummer is an amazing narrator, I have never been disappointed listening to her.
